Purpose

You will lead the supply and production capacity planning for Operations (Flavours or Fragrances) at local level, based on end-to-end production cycle time, inventory, technical challenges, productivity and EHS requirements to secure that products can be manufactured and supplied on time to customers from existing manufacturing facilities.

You will report to the Head of operations.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

Strategy Design and Execution:

  • Provide main supply and production capacity inputs to the regional Operations (D&S) plans and help design the local Operations and Supply Chain & Planning strategies and definition of related goals based on input provided by other local functions, e.g. Commercial or Business Development.

  • Oversee the design and execution of tactical and operational plans at site level to meet local Operations goals.

 

Function Management:

  • Maintain an appropriate level of inventory following corporate standards (SLOB / Inventory ownership and leadership)

  • Control that customer (internal and external) response is made on time and develop realistic daily plans considering capacity and raw material availability

  • Analyse planning performance and improve the Indicators by using statistical models and best practices

  • Monitor and check accuracy of supply and inventory data in related systems

  • Produce and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly status report (e.g. COOISPI schedule, OTS, past due purchase orders)

  • Advise on and monitor configurations in SAP

  • Act as escalation point for resolution of problems, complaints and prioritisation issues

  • Control and report achievement of service level targets to your team

  • Develop annual budget and expense control, and complete the annual operating plan accordingly

  • Monitor workload  and calendars to maintain the balance in  the department

 

People Management:

  • Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes within the Site Planning team and validate related results.

  • Work with the local and regional Supply Chain & Planning and Operations management and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local talent pipeline.

  • Guide the development and promotion of Planning talents within and outside Supply Chain & Planning and Operations at local level.

 

Academic Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline

  • Master’s Degree in a Technical field

 

Professional Experience :

  • 4 to 7 years of experience manufacturing operations with background  in supply chain planning, quality and materials management, including exposure to business process redesign and systems implementations ideally in the production of natural aromatic ingredients.

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in people management

 

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of Forecasting (Statistical Models)

  • APICS Certification

  • ERP/MRP expertise

  • Affinity to systems and analytical tools (Desired SAP, BI, BO)
