Consumer Sensory Insight (CSI) Manager - Your Future Position?
As the Consumer Sensory Insight Manager, you will lead sensory projects in order to provide insights for the development of new flavours and taste solutions, according to overall business objectives and global marketing strategy. You will report to the Head of CSI, SAMEA and will be based in Mumbai, India.

Provide actionable sensory support to marketing, product management, flavour creation, application, and commercial teams at global and regional levels.

Proactively shape project strategies by developing innovative sensory approaches aligned with business and research priorities, and lead sensory aspects of projects independently when needed.

Communicate sensory insights clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with sensory colleagues to prioritise projects and allocate resources; offer supervision, guidance, and mentoring as appropriate.

Design and conduct sensory testing and analysis using robust data collection methods and advanced computerized protocols; maintain accurate records, perform statistical analysis, interpret results, and provide actionable recommendations.

Ensure use of advanced sensory methodologies and best practices while contributing to the overall sensory and consumer understanding strategy.

Partner with Consumer Understanding teams to deliver integrated sensory and consumer insights that support project objectives.

Share knowledge across regional and global teams to strengthen consistency and alignment.

Your professional profile includes:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. in Food Science, Food or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology is advantageous.

10–12 years of relevant work experience in sensory science and consumer analysis within food, flavour, or related fields.

Proven expertise in applying sensory methodologies, including descriptive, discriminative, and quantitative testing, as well as experimental design to meet project objectives.

Proficient in statistical analysis techniques and sensory data software applications used for study execution and interpretation.

Skilled in designing complex research studies independently and translating findings into actionable insights.

Well-versed in cross-functional project management, problem-solving, and collaboration within research and product development environments.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrates a proactive and self‑driven approach.

Able to facilitate decision-making and share project outcomes in a concise, engaging manner.
