Junior CMI Manager - Your future position?

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: CMI Lead Manager

 

As an Junior CMI Manager, you will Design, execute and communicate market research projects and build consumer understanding in line with company's busi-ness objectives.

 

Core Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Project Management /Leadership of regional MR projects - Effectively plans, leads and communicates all required functional steps in the CMI project
  • Identification of methodology for Consumer MR -with supervision of a more senior CMI manager when needed
  • Commissioning and Set-Up
  • Cost Management
  • Management and quality control of Field
  • Management of Data Analysis
  • Ensure CMI data is stored centrally and accessible for future reference

 

Business Partnering

  • Act as CMI Business Partner on specific projects for internal colleagues, working closely on projects throughout the development cycle providing in-depth interpretation of results to guide fragrance development and selection and to help to build rationale to support our submissions etc.
  • Support sales and development teams as market research expert in direct contact with clients, to discuss and review CMI strategies, methodologies and results
  • Work with category teams to fill in the identified gaps in knowledge and to develop and test hypotheses

 

 

Academic Background

University Degree/Masters Degree (or equivalent experience)

 

Professional experience

  • 5+ Years of experience
  • Market research Agency + FMCG industry exposure is mandatory
  • Helps to have a mix of both qualitative & quantitative research experience
  • Experience of having run product tests with customer groups/ ability to analyse product test data
  • Willingness to get "hands on" with work
  • Self-driven and accountable for delivery

 

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrates competent knowledge and use of Market Research theory and qualitative and quantitative methodologies (protocols, designs, questionnaires etc.)
  • Expertise in analysing large data sets and drawing strategic conclusions and implications
  • Familiar with data reduction, consumer segmentation and driver analysis techniques to interrogate data from different perspectives, to develop hypotheses for fragrance development and arguments to support submissions
  • Able to effectively cohesively integrate information from multiple sources (primary/secondary,) methodologies (quant + qual,) or past studies
  • Proficient in use of statistical software for analysis of research data (in locations where this is done in-house)
  • Verbal and written command of English and local language
  • Proficiency in using common PC applications

 

Market Knowledge

  • Competent knowledge of market dynamics and trends for specific country, segment, category, or geographic area as required
  • Understanding of fragrances (olfactory families, main benchmarks etc.) is a plus
