Marketing Manager – Mumbai, India - Your future position?

 

As a Marketing Manager for the Personal Care categories, you will develop and share a market, consumer and brand expertise. You will bring a valuable fragrance marketing service to the clients and grow the Givaudan business by identifying and promoting product and fragrance opportunities.

You will manage multi-national projects within various functions (sales, perfumers, evaluation) the Indian Subcontinent but also other regions globally.

This role is based in Mumbai, India.

 

In this role, you will report to the Category Director of Personal Care.

In this exciting role, you will:

 

 

Market and Consumer Understanding

  • Build in-depth market and consumer understanding for assigned product categories
  • Research new sources of trend information and analyse new product launch information to understand consumer preferences and trends
  • Conduct gap analyses to effectively identify and communicate opportunities for Business Development for given brands, clients or categories

 

Marketing programs and development,

  • Initiate and guide development of new creative marketing programmes and new sensorial presentation techniques to reinforce fragrance messages to address client needs and differentiate Givaudan to be partner of choice
  • Create and deliver client presentations, tailoring Givaudan value proposition to specific needs of the client
  • Work with Sales and Evaluation to support customer projects and establish appropriate olfactory direction to win briefs
  • Assess and identify areas of improvement, collaborate and contribute with other colleagues to implement improvements
  • Communicate marketing programmes and messages to all internal commercial and development stakeholders
  • Communicate solutions to client challenges & opportunities via executing compelling stories that are built around fragrance, market intelligence, trends and consumer understandings
  • Identify white space olfactive / market opportunities that drive competitive advantage
  • Develop compelling messaging via brand strategy and creative concept ideation in partnership with Commercial, Evaluation, Insights and Perfumery teams to link client brand concepts to fragrance

Your professional profile includes: 

  • Post Graduate Degree in Business/ Marketing (or equivalent)8-10 years of experience in industry, in marketing or related function
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with clients, while understanding client strategy, initiatives, priorities and launch processes
  • Demonstrates knowledge of fragrance products, trends, key customers, and competitors on a global/regional category level
  • Ability to develop and deliver a strategic vision for the future
  • Strong ability to analyze consumer data to strengthen consumer awareness and understanding
  • Expert understanding of B2B and B2C marketing principles
  • Demonstrates competent olfactory skills, can recognize olfactory notes and communicate in fragrance language
  • Communication and Presentation Skills Develops and delivers compelling presentations
  • Project Management Effectively manages multiple priorities and projects under time/budget constraints
  • Has exposure to the innovation process and can apply innovation principles to the fragrance creation process to deliver the next blockbusters based on deep consumer and category insights
