A Marketing Manager with the global leader in the creation of Taste & Wellbeing - Your future position?

 

Do you hold flavours close to your heart and food trends constantly in your head? The role will be based in our Mumbai office will report to the Head - Marketing & CI, South Asia and offers excellent opportunities for both personal and profes-sional development.

 

As a ‘Marketing Manager, you will provide competitive-edge marketing to support sales objectives in our creative and niche Taste & Wellbeing industry. As you share your market analysis and consumer insights knowledge, you will be the ‘go-to’ brand expert for all our key customer brands and hold vital market knowledge of new flavour launches and current product trends.

In this exciting role, you will you will be responsible for

 

Marketing  strategy - Doing the right things

  • Build an in-depth market understanding of consumers, local customer brands and market dynamics.
  • Identify market needs and opportunities through external and internal data analysis.
  • Be a strategic partner for the Commercial team on local strategy and planning.
  • Work closely with Technical team to develop pro-active concepts for the local market
  • Translate the business strategy for the South Asia sub region.

 

Drive customer centricity - With the right mindset

  • Drive customer-centric thinking and take the customer’s perspective.
  • Develop close relationships with customers at country and regional levels.
  • Engage in customer briefs where appropriate.
  • Ensure that customers know and understand our capabilities.

 

Excellence in execution - Executed in the right way

  • Drive the execution plan and implementation of the marketing strategy in partnership with the Mar-keting Head.
  • Build the Givaudan brand in the local market and ensure local marketing activity is consistent with the Taste & Wellbeing division branding and positioning.
  • Adapt and deploy global & regional promotions, capabilities, and innovation presentations according to local needs.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute key local customers visits with marketing activities
  • Lead development of the local product or brand concepts and present to target customers to drive  profitable growth.

 

Support Innovation efforts - By looking ahead

  • Lead innovation together with regional marketing and technical teams to deliver the next ‘blockbuster’ flavour based on deep consumer understanding and product segment insights.
  • Lead the commercialisation effort at a local level through effective partnering with the regional           segment, technical, and sales teams. 
  • Ensure that products are relevant to the local markets in terms of cost-effectiveness, profitability, and 
  • performance.
  • Partner with technical teams to deliver insightful customer presentations on new technologies for tar-get customers.

Your professional profile includes

  • A management graduate, specialised in Marketing is preferred 
  • Experience working in consumer companies or advertising/research agencies or B2B marketing with end consumer focus
  • 10-15 years of relevant and progressive marketing experience in developing product solutions and brands in international work environments or category development or commercial roles, preferably with B2B and B2C focus. Experience or exposure to the flavours, ingredients, food and beverages    sectors will be advantageous. 
  • Good knowledge of marketing in B2B and B2C environments.
  • A good appreciation of the market landscape and consumer trends.
  • Data affinity and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Excellent presentations skills.
  • Good marketing communication aptitude, with eye for great design and copy.
  • Comfortable in working and collaborating with diverse teams and cultures.
