Sales Manager – Pharma & Nutra
General Statement of Responsibility
You will represent Givaudan South Asia Taste and Wellbeing team. You will be based in Mumbai & would focus on Pharma & Nutra Customers and you will report to Business Manager – Rest of South Asia (RoSA) and India Pharma & Nutra.
You need to hold a strategic view and approach on how to support and grow our flavours and ingredients business across the assigned market with our customers.
Purpose - Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities
- In this individual contributor role, you need to achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales plan of Givaudan.
- Build and enduring relationships with important customers and distributors. Visit existing and find new customers and conduct business reviews, negotiations and product presentations and promotions.
- Provide regular inputs to the management on the opportunity for Givaudan Taste & Wellbeing in the assigned territory. And ability to use linkage with R&D, manufacturing, procurement, QC/QA and finance.
- Develop account development plans that outline customer strategies and requirements and lead a solid project pipeline with a knowledge of each of the key projects and the health of each project and its probability for success.
- Manage customer orders and service level and negotiate prices within the agreed sales policy.
- Update data concerning customers, products portfolio, prices, terms of deliveries and payment, sales forecasts in related database and also follows up with clients for outstanding and late payments.
Knowledge and abilities
- Masters / Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management, Marketing or other business-related field and proficiency in English.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in sales, strategic marketing and business-related field.
- Knowledge of Pharma and Nutra industry and markets, in-depth know-how about products and/or applications.
- You should have a technical and commercial understanding related to flavours / ingredients and their end use applications. Understanding of market dynamics, consumer needs and the complex environment
- Driven to achieve strong customer relationship and profitable growth in demanding market environment
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the designated market (50% of your time)
