About the Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead and direct large CAPEX Engineering projects, often requiring considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. 

You will be reporting to the Head of Engineering EAME, but will also report to the Steering Committee for the duration of the assigned project(s)

You need to be mobile (80-100% regional business travel).

 

In this exciting opportunity, your main responsibilities will be the following:

 

People management:

  • You will assemble and manage the project team (internal, external resources), monitoring project team performance and completing performance reviews. You will coach, mentor and motivate project team

Function management:

  • Drive day-to-day execution of assigned strategic project (or phase) and manage project resources for a successful project delivery
  • Prepare the project planning and financial forecasts for all phases and give regular status updates to the project steering committee and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with customer organization to ensure needs are met
  • Manage Project (and esp. scope changes) according to the globally CapEx/PM processes
  • Ensure adherence to Quality & EHS standards (project management and technical)
  • Drive selection of engineering suppliers and vendors, assisting negotiation and dispute management as needed
  • Resolve conflicts among project team members or other partners
  • Provide consultation and participate to workshops, peer-reviews and Post Implementation Reviews in other Projects
  • Participate to the development of global CapEx/PM best practices & standards when requested

 

You Have:

Diploma: BSc/MSc in Engineering or equivalent experience, Project Management certification (PMI, PRINCE2) an advantage
Languages: Fluent in English; Hungarian is a plus
Experience:

  • Experience leading large green/brown field projects (10+ years) preferably in food/chemical industry
  • Experience in complex/matrix organizations, working with diverse cultures and multi-discipline specialists
  • Experience in contracts management and supplier selection processes
  • Technical skills : Design and construction of food/chemical plants; Solid knowledge of CapEx and related financial aspects
