As a Process Technology Specialist, you are part of an experienced Process Technology team working at our location in Naarden, with a focus on our Liquids, Naturals, and powder factory. As a process technologist, you are a link between product development (new and existing) and production. You will ensure a smooth transition of new products from the trial and testing phase to full production. You also focus on improving existing processes. You identify any critical issues, make recommendations for improvements, and ensure compliance with standards regarding quality, safety, regulations, and customer requirements.

You complete (system) industrialization of new flavors or flavor ingredients from creation to production systems, including specific production requirements regarding equipment, formula or dietary restrictions. You maintain contact with the flavorists and application technologists to ensure that the formula design meets the production possibilities following the agreements regarding new product introductions. You follow the global formula management systems and local production systems.

You report to the Process Technology Manager.

In this exciting role you will:

  • Yields/Overall Operations Effectiveness: You are always focused on improving the yield of the site. You will increase yields by improving availability, speed, or quality, and optimizing or changing processes and equipment to accommodate new products.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement is ingrained in your DNA. You are always looking for improvement or leading improvement processes, and you challenge others to do the same. You identify opportunities and support local improvement projects in the field of process technology.
  • Safety: Personal and food safety are second nature to you. The safety of our people and products (food safety) is your top priority. You intervene in unsafe situations and take appropriate measures. In short, you ensure that everyone can work in a safe environment.
  • Process Technology: You are the contact for production regarding process-related issues and deviations. You work with other Process Technologists for implementing new processing techniques and for the improvement and standardization of processes.
  • Troubleshooting: You investigate production problems related to deviations and inefficiencies in production and provide analysis and solutions.
  • Solution-Orientation: You solve production problems reported through multiple systems by production and the quality department. These can be internal problems or external customer complaints. You identify opportunities and support local process technology improvement projects, such as those related to LEAN or GPS.

Your professional profile includes:

  • A relevant education at HBO / WO level, for example; food technology or chemical technology
  • At least 3 years of experience with Operational Excellence, TPM or Lean
  • Green Belt and PDCA level 4 certified or willing to become certified
  • Passionate about technology, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Relevant work experience in the food industry (FSSC, GMP, HACCP)
  • Business fluent in Dutch and English oral and written
  • Expert in influencing partners on multiple levels to guide important programs
