As Senior Savoury Food Technologist at Givaudan, you will be working for a company that touches billions of consumers more than a hundred times a day. If you are a driven and dynamic Savoury Applications Technician, potentially even having a culinary-related background (previous work experience as a Chef is an advantage), with a good knowledge of the Benelux food industry and if you have the ability to translate consumer needs into an (integrated) solution to help our customer in their projects or solving their pains then we are looking for you.
In this role, you will be based in Naarden (The Netherlands) and report directly to the Savoury Application Manager Benelux.
In this exciting role you will:
Innovate:
- Implement new savoury food technologies
- Organize and lead co-creation sessions with our customers together with the team
- Design and prepare state-of-the-art savoury products for customer presentations and for capability demonstrations
- Translate market trends into new product concepts and developments.
Be the technical point of contact for customers:
- Responsible for technical customer communication for your projects
- Develop concept presentations and present our capabilities and products to customers
- Work with our customers in workshops to optimize their recipes
- Support customers in trial productions with the implementation of new solutions from Givaudan
- Train our customers and commercial force on our new capabilities
- Build strong customer relationships together with the commercial team
Apply and evaluate:
- Flavours, Naturex portfolio, Stocks & Cheesepowders in savoury products for relevant briefs according to all relevant requirements (taste profile, legislation, technical suitability, costs, etc.)
- Participate in monitoring the performance and stability of Flavours, Naturex portfolio and Stocks & Cheesepowders in savoury products
- Identify appropriate delivery systems and technologies
- Active participation in the maintenance of the performances in relevant systems
Prioritize safety:
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized kitchen & lab environment in accordance with EH&S policies

Your professional profile includes:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in the Savoury food industry
- Good knowledge and understanding of both product recipes and main processes of savoury manufacturers
- Experience with the use of flavourings
- Practical experience in food manufacturing and applications
- Technological problem-solving skills
- Advanced understanding of food ingredients and their effects on industry processing and flavour delivery
- Well-developed olfactory - sensory skills and a high affinity for cooking
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple cultures, functions and levels within the organization
- Strong and experienced Project manager
- Excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills
