Your role will include:

• Being responsible for the development and industrialization of new ingredients and safe, robust and sustainable processes for manufacturing.
• Leading local development team of scientists.
• Managing and supporting cross-functional and cross-regional project teams. 
• Driving project executions and activities in line with global strategy. 
• Being responsible for managing, hiring, and for developing a group of Scientific Employees.
• Monitoring the progress of programs & projects.
• Developing, driving, and executing the technical strategy for the specific category assigned.
• Closely monitoring and evaluating technological advances in all relevant disciplines, identifying external partners and working with functional heads to incorporate new external technologies as appropriate in the innovation portfolio.
• Working to ensure effective communication and collaboration across disciplines.
• Establishing the key regional and global contacts for the project manager for development and implementation.  
• Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.
• Building strong (internal and external) customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
• Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
• Consistently achieving results, even under challenging circumstances.
• Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
• Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

Your professional profile includes:

• Master's degree or preferably Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Leading scientists to develop creative and innovative solutions to complex Science & Technology challenges and staffing.
• Understanding chemical, technical, regulatory, health, safety, environmental, and quality aspects of new ingredient development and production.
• People manager and team player providing focus and direction with the ability to resolve conflicts constructively.
• Ability to understand a wide variety of scientific disciplines and the benefit they will provide to the flavor industry.
• Extensive knowledge of the flavor and food business, particularly how scientific and technical areas impact the business. 
• Ability and experience in working effectively in a multi-cultural matrix environment and building networks across functions and geography.
• Open and effective communicator, diplomatic and influencing to drive accomplishment.
• Strong project management skills with creative problem-solving capability.
• Structured and focused in approach with the ability to simplify complex scope and limitations.
• Ability to demonstrate the financial impact of research work on business results.
