Job Purpose

Reporting to the Regional HR Head. As an HR Manager in Givaudan, you are the local HR partner for our Fine Fragrance Creative Center in New York City covering all HR relevant aspects of the employment life cycle. You will be part of the field HR team, reporting directly to the Head of Fragrance HR NOAM. You will partner with the local business and work on HR topics like talent man-agement, talent acquisition for main roles, employee development planning, annual performance and compensation review. You guide and coach leaders in our Creative Center to ensure they are equipped to achieve their people management responsibilities.

Location: In our Creative Center based our of Manhattan in New York City, NY

Commuting: 1 day weekly commute to our office in East Hanover, NJ.

 

Core Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Work together with management and provide advice as to the best HR management practices to support business objectives.
  • Use relevant information and reports to recommend policy and process solutions to address risks and opportunities and align with HR strategy and plans.
  • Lead or help implement Corporate and Site projects.

HR Management

  • Be a strategic partner to our organization, collaborate with mid-senior level managers and employees.
  • Advise the business in people management activities including performance management, talent man-agement and compensation review.
  • Participate in the talent acquisition process, ensuring the quality of personnel hired, the effectiveness of recruiting and selection techniques, and compliance with law requirements.
  • Provide on-site consultation and administration including annual merit and incentive cycles, performance reviews, and benefits enquiries. Ensure fair and great compensation packages through internal equity and external market analysis.

HR Processes

  • Help define clear roles and responsibilities and streamlined internal HR processes.
  • Promote and proactive use of people management practices and systems and provide valueed reporting enabling managers to make more useful, fact-based and decisions.

Employee Relations

  • Provide employee relations counsel to managers and employees on HR matters including performance, discipline, organizational decisions and career development. Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
  • Manage complex Employee Relation issues and ensure main HR business processes are implemented (e.g. performance management, annual pay/bonus reviews, learning and development, talent planning, succession planning).

Legal & Compliance

  • Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law
  • Ensure organizational compliance with employment law and implementation of new legal requirements
  • Ensure organizational compliance on matters of occupational health; in collaboration with the occupational health department and local management team provide support on employees' medical is-sues/restrictions
  • Inform and advise managers and staff about relevant legislation, employee relations policies.

 

You?

  • University degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 6 years' experience in HR, preferably with international organisations.
  • Experience supporting employee relations/ people management activities.
  • Experience working with mid-level and Sr managers.
  • Multi task and meet deadlines.
  • Time management.
  • Analytical Skills.
  • Project Manager Skills.
  • Knowledge of local HR legal matters.
