Marketing Manager

Purpose
Build in-depth market and consumer understanding for assigned product categories. Create and deliver client presentations.

 

Core Responsibilities
Market and Consumer Understanding
•    Build in-depth market and consumer understanding for assigned product categories
•    Provide input to the Category team and Sales on market gaps and opportunities
Marketing programs and development
•    Identify client brand 'white space' and ideate new concept directions including creation of concept: writing, visuals-collaborating with creative team for synergies with olfactive recommendations
•    Initiate and guide new creative marketing programmes
•    Create and deliver client presentations, tailoring Givaudan value proposition to specific needs of the client
•    Work with Sales and Evaluation to establish appropriate olfactory direction to win briefs
•    Assist in designing marketing programmes to address client needs
•    Foster sharing amongst marketing team members across categories and across regions

 

Academic Background
•    University Degree/Business/Marketing or (or equivalent)

 

Professional Experience
•    7+ years of experience in industry, in marketing or related field, ideally in both agency and client sides.

 

Technical Skills

•    Project Management

•    Effectively manages multiple priorities and projects under time/budget constraints

•    Background in mixed methodologies, and multi-source data integration

•    Customer/Client Relationship Skills

•    Builds and maintains effective relationships with clients

•    Understands client strategy, initiatives, priorities and launch processes

•    Effectively manages multiple priorities and projects under time/budget constraints

Innovation

•    Has exposure to the innovation process and is able to apply innovation principles to the creation process to deliver the next block buster fragrances based on deep consumer and category insights
