Responsible Sourcing Specialist - Your future role?
As a Responsible Sourcing Specialist, you will sit in the Global Sustainability Department of Givaudan under the guidance of the Global Head of Responsible Sourcing (RS) and works in close collaboration with the entire RS Team. The RS programs are focusing on social, environmental, management systems and ethics & compliance aspects in our supply chains as well as at Givaudan sites & Joint Ventures. The RS specialist supports the implementation of the RS strategy and program globally, focusing on internal and external RS aspects and contributing to strategic initiatives.
This role is open with a 8 months temporary contract (maternity cover). You will be based in Paris, France.
In this role your main responsibilities will be:
Responsible Sourcing & Procurement/House of Naturals coordination

Support and coordinate Responsible Sourcing activities for natural ingredients used in Fine Fragrance and Active Beauty, in close collaboration with Procurement & House of Naturals teams (Responsible Sourcing Policy, Due Diligence process, Supplier Audits and Action Plans, Traceability information, Advanced level projects, etc.)

Act as the key point of contact on Responsible Sourcing towards the relevant procurement teams working on Natural ingredients for the Fine France & Active Beauty portfolio

Support risk assessment on natural supply chains (countries of origin, environmental, social and supply risks) and help translate findings into action plans

Support the implementation and monitoring of due diligence campaigns and related action plans in coordination with internal stakeholders

Contribute to the implementation of responsible sourcing strategies on High Risk natural supply-chains

Support regular interactions with suppliers on Responsible Sourcing topics, in collaboration with procurement teams

Support alignment of Responsible Sourcing activities with Human Rights & Biodiversity strategies

Manage the responsible sourcing data for Naturals in all levels of the Responsible Sourcing program, and work with the relevant stakeholders in order to ensure data integrity, consistency and coordinated reporting
Field projects & supply-chain initiatives

Contribute to the organization of multi-stakeholder exchanges (e.g. roundtables with suppliers and clients, field interventions with NGOs or external consultants)

Participate in working groups from external & sectorial coalitions to drive responsible sourcing on key supply-chains

Ensure continuity and follow-up of ongoing field projects across several natural supply chains

Monitor project progress, milestones and deliverables, in coordination with internal and external partners

Support reporting and internal communication on project status and outcomes
Client support & internal expertise

Support responses to client requests related to natural ingredients sourcing and responsible sourcing topics

Prepare briefing materials and presentations on natural supply chains and Responsible Sourcing initiatives

Coordinate closely with Fragrance & Beauty Divisional Partners & Commercial teams to ensure transparency and follow-up on responsible sourcing topics with customers

Contribute to reporting of responsible sourcing performance of customer's portfolios
Your professional profile includes:

University degree in Sustainability, Environmental or Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Procurement or a related field

Preferred 5 years of experience in Responsible Sourcing, Sustainability, Procurement, Corporate Responsibility, Natural Supply-chains

Knowledge of corporate procurement, responsible sourcing, sustainability aspects (knowledge of natural supply-chains & Fragrance & Beauty stakeholders is a strong plus)

Fluent in French & English

Ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of internal & external stakeholders

Autonomous and comfortable with cross functional set-ups

Organisation, coordination, and facilitation skills
