Job Purpose

Responsible for chemical process efficiency or chemical manufacturing unit to create intermediate or finished ingredient fragrances products following quality, cost and safety standards.

You will report into the Production Manager and work on-site in our manufacturing site located at Pedro Escobedo, Querétaro (relocation allowance provided).

 

Main responsibilities

Function Management

Monitor the production process to provide an organized manufacture for each product under your responsibility following costs, deadlines, safety and quality standards.

Manage project progress including monitoring timelines, raw materials, equipment availability and yields to ensure project success.

Monitor costs and ensure compliance with the budget target.

Produce and conduct analysis of components, and finished products following the manufacturing plan. Analyse and interpret scientific data. Use specialized technical knowledge necessary.

Perform physical, analytical or chemical testing of finished fragrances products, material-in-process, or raw materials. Perform calculations by testing procedures.

Contribute to development programs such as those required to improve process understanding,process control, process capability. Implement improvement plans to maintain cost.

Evaluate product and process related issues concerning raw material, process chemistry and equipment troubleshooting and validation.

Recommend and elaborate improvements in analytical equipment, procedures and techniques. Implement production and large-scale manufacturing procedures to improve processes and meet quality requirements. Participate in planning activities for our products or processes.

Prepare final reports and provide written and verbal updates to supervisors and clients.

People Management

May train and direct, check work of lower level professionals.

 

Academic Background

Master degree in Chemical Engineering or in Chemicals (PhD in Chemistry required in Vernier).

Advanced level of English

 

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in chemical production industry, manufacturing operations (at least 5 years of experience as Production Chemist in Organic Chemistry).

 

Technical skills

Experience with Continuous Improvement concepts (LEAN).

Experience with Organic Chemistry and Industrial process.

Laboratory and QC techniques required.

Knowledge on chemical substances ,hazardous material and related local regulations.

Process and Product Safety.
