Site Engineering Manager

Site Engineering Manager - Pomacle - Your future position ?

 

As a Site Engineering Manager for our Fragrance & Beauty Division, you will be part of our Active Beauty business unit, harnessing the power of nature for cutting-edge cosmetics. Based in Pomacle (near Reims), you will lead the Engineering and Maintenance teams to achieve maximum plant availability and reliability in response to operational activity needs. 

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager Active Beauty, you will :

 

Strategy design and execution
•    Provide input to the local Operations business plan and related objectives with regards to engineering projects, critical maintenance activities, etc.
•    Define site Engineering annual targets and objectives based on functional strategy, and lead and monitor their achievement

 

Function management
•    Lead a team of Maintenance & Engineering Managers/Technicians, as well as contractors, etc.
•    Work with Global and Regional Engineering functions to ensure proper analysis, planning and implementation of global strategies, plans or best practises
•    Establish site master plans to capture all Capex, engineering and maintenance plans and lead their execution to address internal customer requirements
•    Provide input to global or regional Capex initiatives to anticipate impact on local activities and resources
•    Identify, propose and implement local Capex projects 
•    Manage all routine engineering and maintenance activities, track progress against plan(s) and implement corrective actions in case of deviation
•    Apply best practices and continuous improvement programs to optimize processes and use of resources
•    Deliver best in class engineering and maintenance service to clients through maintenance work, local projects and coordinate capital investments on site
•    Maintain compliance of all assets with applicable legal or company standards, as well as harmonization of standards within the departments
•    Implement Group Engineering initiatives, guidelines and directives and organize regular trainings to ensure adherence to these as well as other standards
•    Maintain contact with local authorities
•    Propose budgets and levels of service for engineering and maintenance activities and execute these within approved limit(s)

 

People management
•    Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes for the local Engineering & Maintenance teams and validate related results
•    Work with local Operations and regional/global Engineering & Maintenance management teams and HR in developing a local talent pipeline for the function
•    Drive the development and promotion of talents within and outside the function

 

You ?


•    University degree in Engineering or related discipline
•    Plant Engineering or Maintenance certification
•    At least 5 years in manufacturing or plant operations, including exposure to factory engineering and maintenance strategy and operational maintenance of production equipment
•    Proven experience in people management
•    Proficiency in industrialization and engineering projects including building, process installation and utilities, from design stage to hand-over
•    Good knowledge of project management, process mapping and design, TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools
•    Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines
•    Good knowledge of financial concepts and tools (SAP)
•    Ability to influence, stakeholder management, business acumen
•    Fluent in English
