EHS Manager

EHS Manager, Ranjangaon, Pune at Givaudan Flavours India – Your future position?

In this critical role as one of our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Managers in India, you will ensure through knowledge, expertise, promotion, facilitation and enforcement that Givaudan EHS policies & procedures and relevant local EHS legislation are implemented. To be the main point of contact on site for all EHS aspects both internally and externally, and to work with management, safety re-presentatives and all other employees to continuously improve EHS in the Flavours site. To contribute to the development of a learning organisation. EHS manager is able to deliver a compelling EHS vision, action plan and change process.

•    Coordinates and conducts work area risk assessment, surveys, and program evaluations to determine EH&S risk levels and set up priorities for risk mitigation;
•    Track legislation tendency and keep site management updated on the latest applicable EHS legislation, regulation, codes of practice, regional& global directives and guidelines. Assist on all compliance gap analysis and provide expertise for gap close-up.
•     Assist site top management in the development of SMART EHS objective, targets, programs and action plans based on risk assessment and compliance gap analysis; closely measure their progress and report to management team on monthly basis.
•     Assist site top management to define EHS roles and responsibilities for the Flavour operations site.
•     Update, Develop and maintain EHS policies & procedures and ensure them in alignment with local legal requirements and Givaudan Global EHS directives; 
•     Plan and organize periodical audit & inspection to enhance effective implementation of all developed polices & procedures; closely follow up all audit & inspection findings and ensure they are properly corrected and prevented;
•     Assist site management to animate site EHS committee effectively; ensure EHS committee be a good platform of employee involvement in EHS
•     Work closely with line managers to analyse EHS training needs, define training matrix and assist in training delivery both internally and externally
•    Promote and facilitate tool box meeting
•    Ensure a good Emergence Response Procedure in place; organize ER team, enable ER team member competence by periodical trainings and drills
•    Assist line management in incident investigation; Provide expertise on root cause validation and corrective& preventive action development.
•    Champion the reduction of air emission, effluent discharge and waste generation; 
•    Participate in safety design review and provide support and inputs in Capex projects
•    Play active role in the regional EHS team and make contribution by good practices/ lessons sharing
•    Report to regional & global EHS about site incidents/ performance by certain tools as Enablon, Bluesuite, SAP and etc.

•    Maintain EHS standards for Mumbai corporate office, labs as well as Gurgaon office and Lab.

Your professional profile includes:
•    Chemical or Technical degree
•    Appropriate national safety qualification
•    Local language and good written and spoken English level
•    Ideally 12+ years’ experience
•    Positive/ Assertive character & good interpersonal skills

•    Good coaching style and communication skills (verbal, written and presenting)
