Process Technology Specialist - Your future position?

Location: Pune, India

Reporting to: Process Technology Manager

Job Purpose

As our Process Technology Specialist, you will provide administrative support to Spec and Formula Management or Issue Management organisation. You will Independently implement local process technology activities to ensure seamless product industrialization, scale-up and change management.

 

Core Responsibilities

Formula Management

  • Process and manage approvals, and track documents

  • Scan and file completed (project) documentation from respective teams

  • Escalate if documents are not reviewed and approved promptly

  • Collect and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation and handle records observing related records management policy and procedures

  • Distribute and track latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution and archived

  • Administer data repository password setup, general training and usage questions

  • Provide general administrative support to the group

     

Process Technology

  • Set-up manufacturing instructions, production versions including specific manufacturing requirements related to equipment, formula or dietary restrictions.

  • Trouble shoots manufacturing problems related to non-conformances, or manufacturing inefficiencies.

  • Identify opportunities and support local process technology improvement projects, for example linked to LEAN or GPS.

  • Partner with flavourists to ensure formula design meets manufacturing capabilities according to NPIR.

  • Liaise with Quality and Operations to resolve product non-conformances (including customer complaints).

  • Provide periodic guidance to Process Technology Specialists

 

Academic Background

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Chemical Engineering or Food Technology/Science

     

Main Requirements

  • Relevant work experience of 5- 8+ years within process technology areas.

  • Industry background within fields such as chemicals, pharmaceutical or ingredient manufacturing are highly advantageous.

  • Have at least practitioner level of problem-solving capability (PDCA) or any relevant CI certifications

  • Project/change  management experience

  • Experience using SAP ERP and other relevant IT systems

  • Basic knowledge on order fulfilment, brief management, Regulatory and Innovation processes (IDDC), relevant to assigned area of activity.

  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies and product characteristics (such as liquids, spray drying, powder blending, process Flavours, JBC, Emulsions, separations, extractions), relevant to assigned area of activity

  • Experience in a food manufacturing industry is preferred
