Process Technology Specialist - Your future position?

As the Process Technology Specialist , you will support Specification, Formula, and Issue Management activities while independently driving local process technology efforts to ensure seamless product scale-up and change management. You will report to the Process Technology Manager and will be based in Ranjangaon, Pune.

 

Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will be responsible in:

  • Lead local process technology activities, including technology transfer, and product scale-up.

  • Set-up manufacturing instructions, production versions including specific manufacturing requirements related to equipment, formula or dietary restrictions.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, collaborating with Quality, Operations, and Flavourists to resolve non-conformances and ensure efficient production.

  • Manage and maintain documentation systems, including approvals, tracking, filing, distribution, and archiving, in line with records management policies.

  • Provide administrative support to the team and assist with data repository access, training, and general inquiries.

  • Support local process improvement initiatives (e.g., LEAN or GPS) and apply practitioner-level problem-solving methodologies (PDCA).

  • Offer guidance and periodic supervision to junior Process Technology Specialists.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or related.

  • Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in process technology within flavours, food, chemicals or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.

  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing technologies and product characteristics relevant to flavours, such as liquids, spray drying, powder blending, and more.

  • Proven project management experience.

  • Strong understanding of QIC and FC&A processes, including ingredient life cycle management, vendor and customer quality requirements, specification and formula management, continuous improvement, complaint and issue management, industrialization, audit, and change management.

  • Solid knowledge of flavour design principles and NPIR.

  • Basic understanding of order fulfilment, brief management, regulatory, and innovation processes (IDDC).

  • Good command of key IT systems (SAP or other similar ERP systems).

  • Basic awareness of food safety and quality systems (FSSC, AIB, ISO, GMP, GHP, HACCP).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
