Quality Systems Manager- Your next position?

 

As a Quality Systems Manager, you will be responsible of the compliance, legality and quality of our products. You will plan the implementation of the Global Quality system Strategy, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Strategy within a large Site. You will promote quality principles site wide, provide independent and unbiased opinions, advice and decisions and continuously assess the level of compliance and effectiveness of quality assurance activities vs requirements.

 

In this role, you will be based in Pune and directly reports to the Head of Quality in India.

 

In this position you will be:

  • Lead and maintain approved status to accreditation Standards in the scope of the QMS ( e.g. ISO 9001/FSSC:22000)
  • Halal/Kosher, Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Monitor the compliance status vs Regional/Global QM policies, BP's and requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of quality-related policy, process, best practice
  • Lead Management Review meetings.
  • Maintain QMS documentation required to ensure the effectiveness of the system and assure product quality.
  • Ensure the document lifecycle is timely.
  • Author, reviewer and approver of Local QMS documents. Reviewer of regional documents.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of processes critical to quality. e.g. includes Change Control, HACCP / CCP's, validation schedules/trials, pest control, cleaning, product recall / annual test.
  • Provide QMS awareness training to relevant personnel.
  • Maintain an effective internal audit schedule that continuously expresses the level of compliance to appropriate requirements. (Standards / ISO / GMP / BP's).
  • Ensure sufficient internal auditors are available to achieve the above and that they are adequately trained.
  • Lead external quality-related audits by authorities and customers.
  • Coordinate and monitor the follow up to audit actions.
  • Lead internal / Vendor audits follow up actions and drive improvement in vendor performance.
  • Coordinate the review and response to client-related quality inquiries, quality agreements, questionnaires, evaluation reports etc.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of processes managing non-conformances e.g. Customer Complaints, internal nonconformance.
  • Lead Product Recall.
  • Manage the performance, development and training of the team including succession planning and promoting a culture of right first time (zero defects).
  • Coordinate and communicates global Quality KPI' to Regional/ Global Quality Heads and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate the performance of the QMS, including significant events
  • Drive the "Plan, Do, Check, Act" continuous improvement process in relation to processes that are critical to quality including SAP/systems, developing KPI's and the culture of continuous improvement e.g. Visual Performance Management.
  • Collate (a) Operations KPI's eg complaints, internal Collate, monitor and report (a) Operations KPI's eg complaints, internal non- conformance
  • Collate (a) Operations KPI's eg complaints, internal non- conformance and (b) KPI's that demonstrate the effectiveness of the QMS eg adherence to audit schedule, closure of CAPA, documents reviewed on time
  • Lead cross functional improvement initiatives and meetings in relation to Quality KPI's performance improvement and the effectiveness of the QMS.

 

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Quality Management, Continuous Improvement or related discipline.
  • Quality Management Specific Qualification preferred.
  • Work experience of 10+ years in Quality Assurance/Quality Systems.
  • 4+ years of progressive people management required.
  • Proficient in English language is required.
  • Expert level of understanding of the principles of Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO 9001, FSSC: 22000, Good Manufacturing Practices and continuous improvement.
  • Good understanding of Food Safety and Quality Systems (such as FSSC, AIB, ISO 9001, GMP, GHP, HACCP) that are relevant to the domain of activity managed.
  • Good knowledge of all business processes on-site in multiple functions/sub –businesses. Ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of both internal and external quality requirements and the current status of compliance on Site.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional / regional alignment projects and improvements.
  • Able to form effective relationships / virtual teams with the regional Quality function.
  • Broad based knowledge of product technologies and applications our products are applied to.
