EHS Specialist will be under the leadership of EHS Manager giving him/her support on his daily job and specifically on Environmental specialization. Promote the Environmental sustainability culture across the organization.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Support Management and operations staff for internal/external regulatory compliance
  • Stay abreast with Environmental regulations and actively applies knowledge to projects and daily tasks
  • With authorities related to Environment; reporting to EHS Manager any clue of authority concerns
  • Evaluate regulatory permitting requirements and submit permit applications to applicable agencies
  • Develop compliance training and documentation and conduct EHS trainings when required
  • Participate on the development of Environmental procedures/Policies, recommend changes when appropriate and tracking their implementation
  • Develop programmes that meet clients' environmental sustainability requirements, lead the completion of environmental questionnaires, and participate in sustainability events organised by clients
  • Organize and participate in regular Gemba Walk with department/area owners; report findings and follow up their correction&prevention
  • Follow up all audits' findings and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of their corrective&preventive actions
  • Help on organizing site EHS committee meetings and following up all actions agreed in the committee meeting
  • Help on risk assessment and provide tangible solutions to minimize risks

 

You:

1. University degree in Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering (active CREA registration).

2. Postgraduate specialization in Environmental Engineering (for candidates with a degree in Chemical Engineering)

3. At least 3 years of experience in industrial environmental management, preferably within chemical, food, or fragrance operations.

4. Solid knowledge of São Paulo environmental legislation (CETESB, licensing, CADRI, emissions and effluent control).

5. Fluent English (for global interaction).

6. Ability to perform both operational tasks (field routines and documentation) and strategic activities (policy development and external representation).

7. Collaborative profile with clear communication and strong influencing skills across different organizational levels.
