Job Purpose
Lead complex cross-regional or cross category projects, contribute to defining strategy and support development process, in close collaboration with Category Director in order to drive business value growth, according to organisational objectives.

 

Core Responsabilities
Fragrance Development & Research

  • Manage cross-regional/ cross category projects.
  • Manage all brief activity and drive creation and development process for a given category.
  • Ensure correct Perfumery allocation to briefs  & adequate other resources (CMI, marketing, lab).
  • Define, and prioritize, in close collaboration with CMI manager, developmental and brief-related consumer market research.
  • Build category knowledge & share evaluation expertise and market knowledge with the entire category team
  • Mentor junior evaluation team members.

Business Planning

  • Define and implement regional/global development strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams to identify/interpret business needs and objectives.
  • Demonstrate and maintain consistent track records of new wins in Key/Global Projects.

Activation and Gallery

  • Guide the building and curating of the best in class fragrance collection, responding to gap analysis, market needs, market trends and incorporating Givaudan technologies
  • Connect with the other region to accelerate the usage of the best new creations from anywhere in the world
  • Lead and optimise the process for fast and efficient selection of fragrances for activation projects from oil or blind

 

Academic Background

  • University Degree or equivalent.
  • Advanced University degree in related field is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.

 

Professional Background

  • 12+ years' functional/technical experience in industry
  • Demonstrated:
    • Global / International experience desirable.
    • Proactivity in fragrance creation for specific category / client. 
    • Proven ability in managing and succeeding in Key/Global Projects.

 

Technical Skills

Evaluation/Application Skills

  • Expert olfactory skills.
  • Mastery of core CFM responsibilities. 

Industry/Market Knowledge

  • Expert knowledge of fragrance products, general market dynamics and olfactory trends .
  • Understanding of client strategy, initiatives, priorities, and ability to launch processes for key customers.
  • Expert understanding of assigned brands and product categories.

Customer Knowledge/Relationship

  • Ability to effectively interact with customers/clients on briefs, technical matters and other issues.
  • Articulate clear olfactive strategy internally & externally.

Consumer Understanding Skills

  • Solid understanding of consumers within designated category(ies).

Project Management

  • Ability to effectively lead large, complex development projects. 
  • Ability to strategize and articulate clear olfactive vision.
  • Best in Class assessment techniques.

Activation

  • Extensive cross category knowledge
  • Ability to select and submit from oil or blind for activation projects
  • At ease with digital solutions
  • Opportunistic mindset - able to balance speed of response and fragrance quality
