Purpose

Reporting to our HR Director, you will manage the payroll activities within site in order to ensure the timely and accurate payment of salaries and other benefits according to employee contracts and local regulations.

 

Core Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Manage all payroll activities to ensure company is in a position to pay employees accurately. Supervise processing of payroll, aiming at guaranteeing the correct payment of employees within company parameters and according to current legislation.
  • Provide guidance to HR colleagues and employees on Payroll and Benefits administration related matters.
  • Ensure all social security obligations are applied as well as all relevant taxation rulings affecting salary processing.

 

HR Management Support

  • Perform the relevant country annual merit and incentive cycles payout process and ensures both the internal and external HR administration reporting obligations are met. Provide detailed breakdown of personnel costs for budgetary purposes.
  • Support continued improvement in Payroll processes and organisation.
  • Provide accurate financial and statistical information to all relevant areas of the business.
  • Participate in or support the implementation of Corporate and Site initiatives or projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, employee contracts and government legislation. Advise on legislation changes relating to Payroll.
  • Answer questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.
  • People Management
  • Supervise payroll team members and ensure back-up and knowledge transfer for all business critical back-office tasks whilst maintaining confidentiality and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Coach and support the personal development of team as appropriate.

 

Academic Background

  • Higher education (Bachelor's/Master's degree) in Human Resources or related field.

 

Professional Experience

  • 5 or more years of experience, preferably in Payroll, HR Administration or related field.

 

Technical Skills

  • Fluent in English
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office, advanced Excel).
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant country specific employment law, social security and income tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in SAP HR.
