As Sr Regulatory Manager you will work within our Taste & Wellbeing Regulatory Department in a team unit operating in Brazil market. You will be responsible for leading, maintaining and enhancing customer information and support through strong customer focus, clear accountability, regulatory advice and to ensure product safety and compliance. You will be part of the Latam Regulatory T&W Leadership team reporting to the Head of Latam Regulatory T&W.

 

In this exciting role, you will: 

  • Manage a Regulatory team of 2 specialists and intern to provide external, internal customers and regional regulatory bodies with consistent and compliant product safety and legislative expertise
  • Monitor and Interpret flavouring and food regulatory and legislative developments, identify early issues that impact the business, and advise the business on eventual risks to ensure compliance and reduced liability Interpret and ensure compliance with laws and regulations resulting in reduced liability
  • Interact with commercial teams delivering regulatory consulting based on business processes and internal regulatory systems and procedures and industry and regulatory requirements in an expeditious timeframe 
  • Collaborate and ensure alignment with global regulatory teams, with other regional regulatory teams (e.g. advocacy group, system/data experts) and other stakeholders such as communication teams and integrations projects leads
  • Utilise functionalities of internal SAP-based regulatory systems and databases to support key compliance and safety initiatives  
  • Ensure integrity of regulatory database as well as protection of regional intellectual property
  • Develop and implement internal policies, processes and procedures and training for team members/new hires/partner
  • Establish relationships with assigned customer contacts including participation/leading to customer visits/meetings

 

Your professional profile includes:

  • University / Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry or Food, Biological or Physical sciences
  • A minimum of 5-8 years relevant regulatory experience in Flavours or Food or related industry 
  • Extensive Knowledge of the food industry regulatory issues and trends but also thorough understanding of its customer regulatory requirements 
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and networking skills
  • Customer focus and drive for results
  • Priority setting and resilience
  • Strong team spirit
  • Project Management skills
  • Business Fluency in English is a must
