Job Purpose

Develop, create and validate fragrances as a part of regional or global projects, with clear understanding of customer needs, preferences and requirements, in order to drive business value and ensure successful completion of external projects, according to Fragrance Evaluation objectives.

 

Core Responsibilities

Evaluation Projects

  • Responsible for briefs relating to a category/country/region or customer under CFD supervision.
  • Follow and understand the Best practices.
  • Contribute to winning briefs by selecting suitable fragrances to meet customer needs.
  • Manage the collection and ensure it alignment with business needs.
  • Write fragrance descriptions linked to marketing trends.
  • Participate in proactive development projects.
  • Collaborate directly with Perfumers to develop fragrance themes.
  • Manage regional projects and participate in global projects related to Evaluation process when needed

Cross-functional Cooperation

  • Interact & collaborate with sales/CMI/MKT colleagues throughout the project process in order to ensure meeting of customer requirements
  • Collaborate with relevant marketing colleagues for trends information and internal and client presentations

 

Activation and Gallery

  • Manage the best in class fragrance collection, responding to gap analysis, market needs, market trends and incorporating Givaudan technologies
  • Undertake fast and efficient selection of fragrances for activation projects from oil or blind

 

Your profile:

Professional experience

  • University Degree or equivalent
  • 5-6 years' functional/technical experience in industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using common PC applications
  • Competent olfactory ability and knowledge
  • Verbal and written command of English
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Effective interaction with teams
  • Ability to create and make presentations for their submissions

 

Technical Skills:

Evaluation/Application Skills

  • Knowledge of Givaudan evaluation/application and research methodologies, principles, protocols, and documentation

Industry / Market Knowledge

  • Understanding of industry and sales landscape for country, segment, category, or specific geographic area, including competitors and regulatory guidelines
  • Knowledge of fragrance products, general market dynamics and trends
  • Global market knowledge

 

Customer Knowledge/Relationship

  • Ability to build knowledge of customers' products and processes

 

Consumer Understanding

  • Basic knowledge of CMI testing protocols and procedures
  • Olfactory consumer understanding in given category fragrance category

Givaudan Systems

  • Ability to apply FragranceLand, IBIS, Colibri and other systems to effectively answer customer briefs
  • Understanding of Givaudan internal processes at local and regional level; acknowledging own responsibilities into broader goals

 

Project Management

  • Good understanding of Givaudan's brief process and functional interfaces
  • Ability to effectively lead all required functional steps in the brief handling processes
  • Ability to interface with clients as needed (Senior Evaluator), with emphasis on customer intimacy & mutual respect

Activation

  • Building cross category knowledge
  • Ability to manage a very high number of projects at the same time
  • Ability to select and submit from oil or blind for activation projects
  • At ease with digital solutions
  • Opportunistic mindset - able to balance speed of response and fragrance quality
