Associate Technical Manager RAPS AB & FIB - APAC at Givaudan – Your future position?
As Associate Technical Manager RAPS AB & FIB - APAC in Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty Division in Shanghai, China, you will coordinate projects to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, according to relevant laws and corporate guidelines for both Active Beauty & Fragrance Ingredient Business.
Industry External activities coordination is a must to anticipate on regulatory trends.
In this role you can expect to:
- Coordinate and execute projects activities to provide external and internal customers and regional regulatory bodies with consistent and compliant product safety and legislative expertise.
- Identify early regulatory and legislative issues that impact the global business, critically assess the level of impact and provide input for the development of mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with other RAPS functions to ensure appropriate toxicological, regulatory data and systems support for innovation and current product portfolios.
- Advise the business on risks due to safety or regulatory developments
- Interpret and ensure compliance with APAC regional regulations, especially in China.

External Relations
- Represent Givaudan at the Industry Trade Associations providing the company position on issues as well influencing stakeholders for beneficial of the upcoming regulations and issues management.

Your professional profile includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology or related scientific field
- 6-8 years relevant regulatory experience.
- Preferred: Cosmetic Products, Cosmetic Ingredients, Chemicals or Fragrance ingredients.
- Fluent English, local language essential.
- Thorough understanding of key product category activities, regulatory trends, and general market dynamics.
- Full knowledge of regulatory systems and databases.
- Thorough knowledge of formulae creation procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of industry and customer regulatory requirements, trends and pending regulatory legislation.
- Knowledge of global regulatory issues in the Cosmetic and Chemicals fields.
- Strong Leadership/Project Management capabilities.
- Business Trip Requirement: some travel requirements will be needed to liaise with the regulatory team outside of APAC.
