P&G ACCOUNT MANAGER - Shanghai
As an Account Manager in the P&G Team, you will have responsibility for 1-2 designated category in China. You will be ultimately responsible to develop and lead the implementation of the business strategy of delivering winning fragrances to defend the significant existing business and drive business growth in close collaboration with the customer, the global P&G commercial team and the development team.
The role will be based in Shanghai and will report directly to the Regional Account Manager (RAM)
In this exciting role, you will:
- Build and maintain a collaborative, positive, insightful and sustainable customer relationship with local & regional key stakeholders at P&G.
- Build the account strategy for your area of responsibility in collaboration with the RAM and platform leader, defending the existing business and attacking new opportunities proactively, with the ultimate objective to be the partner of choice of P&G in the region.
- Lead the fragrance development programs (proactive & reactive projects) in collaboration with platform leaders, the RAM, and development team –to deliver winning fragrance solutions to P&G (delight at the right price), and ultimately drive Givaudan revenue growth at a sustainable margin.
- Collaborate with local customer care and supply chain team to ensure a high level of client service and good working practice.
- Drive innovation and portfolio reapplication innovation in the region
- Lead or Coordinate various client interaction such as workshop, training initiative in China

Your professional profile includes:
- At least 6 years of sales/technical experience in the fragrance industry
- Degree level education in business or a related technical field
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required
- Competent olfactive knowledge with experience of working with fragrances or fragranced consumer products, understanding of customer dynamics, consumer trends, market dynamics and the industry landscape
- Knowledge of the industry and the customer regulatory requirements, including technical criteria and/or specifications will be considered as an advantage
- Proven successful track record in a similar role will be considered as an advantage
- Consumer market research knowledge will be considered as an advantage
- Client event organization and coordination, promotional kits design experience is a plus.
