Category Marketing Manager- Fine Fragrance at Givaudan China – Your future position?

As the Category Marketing Manager- Fine Fragrance, you will support sales and fragrance development teams to develop and sell superior fragrance solutions to key customers for the Fine Fragrance category; use in-depth category, brand, consumer, and fragrance understanding to develop solid growth plans and new fragrance development projects for the Fine Fragrance category. As part of a core team, you will also lead a strategic innovation project to develop next generation fragrances for the China market.

  • Innovation project management
    • Part of core team that will deliver the next generation of fragrances in the Fine Fragrnce category
  • Category/consumer knowledge and fragrance expertise
    • Own in-depth category knowledge for Fine Fragrance
    • Responsible for data mining, consumer research analysis to derive consumer insights to help new fragrance development
  • Trend awareness
    • Be aware of global and APAC trends in beauty, fashion, culture to be able to present trends that impact fragrances and consumer behaviour
  • Data Collection/Management
    • Prepare industry leading category reviews and trend presentations
    • Market intelligence - collect and record all latest product launches and share insights
  • Prepare & Deliver key/strategic presentations
    • Key client pitches in partnership with sales to support fragrance solutions selling
  • Be part of and help create an innovative buzz in the company
  • Be a brand Image guardian for Givaudan corporate brand

Your professional profile includes:

  • University Degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent
  • 8-10 years’ experience in the FMCG/B2B/Advertising Agency/Fragrance industry
  • Verbal and written command of Mandarin and English (must to have)
  • Passion for the Fragrance Industry
  • Ability to energize and lead a cross-functional team around a project
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal/ external customers,   decision-makers   and   influencers
  • Experience in running or being part of product innovation projects
  • A keen eye for aesthetics, a personal sense of taste and style will be an added advantage
  • Global experience will be an added advantage
