Consumer Market Insights Manager – Your future position?

 

As a Consumer Market Insights Manager in Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty Division, you will help us understand the next 'big thing' as you organize consumer research projects in China market. Working efficiently and to budget, you can also think creatively, knowing how to make the best use of resources and gain strong consumer understanding. You will then transfer this precious knowledge to our development and marketing teams before moving on to coordinate consumer research projects globally, ensuring harmony and clarity of data and findings across all regions. Sound intriguing? It could well be your perfect opportunity if you love truly getting inside the consumer mind. A foretaste of your main duties includes:

  • Understand the fragrance business and generate in-depth consumer insights to support business grow
  • Project Management:
  • Manage and execute projects efficiently & effectively to obtain accurate & timely results for perfume submission & consumer understanding:
  • Receive briefing & set up projects, liaising with the different departments
  • Proactively recommend sound testing methods and ensure CMR research objectives, methodologies are clearly defined, organized and communicated
  • Translate/ check translated research documents from English to local language & vice versa
  • Brief & liaise with research supplier
  • Supervise agency/ fieldwork & ensure smooth running & completion of fieldwork
  • Conduct quality control checks as per guideline
  • Ensure accurate & timely delivery of data & report (excel and powerpoint)
  • Analyze & write reports including charting
  • Provide consumer insights to enrich local/ regional/ global/ regional consumer understanding projects
  • Debrief and present findings to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Negotiating with MR agencies
  • Exercise budgetary control for MR projects
  • Oversee global projects, as required, according to global guidelines
  • Communicate with internal & external clients
  • Align with key stakeholders on research methodologies
  • Involve clients on certain stages of research process
  • Organize debrief and make sure the results are properly interpreted
  • Generate and deliver insights to key stakeholders

 

 

You?

Your professional profile includes:

  • At least University degree in social science, market research, marketing, business administration or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in market research (at least 3 years experience with a reputable agency in FMCG research)
  • Experience with fragrance business
  • Quantitative + qualitative research experience
  • Strong research and analytical skills; able to research, break down, interpret and utilise data
  • Hands-on research experience and familiar with all phases of research protocol and processes
  • Fluent written & spoken English
  • Some travelling within China may be required
