Senior Key Account Manager GFI APAC. - your future position?

 

Do you have a proven track record of success as Key Account Manager in Givaudan? And would you like to broaden your scope and responsibility? Then this job opportunity in GFI APAC covering Key accounts and distributor accounts in APAC might well be your next step.

In this job you will be responsible for sales and the business development within the region with a focus on China for the newly formed Givaudan Flavor Ingredients Division (GFI), selling our ingredients to the flavor industry and supported by a dynamic and experienced team leveraging an exciting range of products from a complementary catalogue of products. You will further develop business within a broad spectrum of direct customers, develop a successful distribution network as well as pursuing new and exciting opportunities within APAC.

In this new, exciting and fast-paced role, you will:

  • Coordinate accounts in APAC with a focus in China
    You will lead the activities of the appointed customers to ensure alignment of strategy and execution of plans; develop and manage distributors relationship; effectively communicate with the accounts; conduct price negotiations; manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans
  • Develop our business
    You will proactively generate a broad base of new business opportunities including through the distribution network; develop thorough understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition
  • Position our products
    You will ensure GFI is well positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core lists; manage large commercial projects in collaboration with GFI Commercial innovation ; assume lead role for all GFI activities for designated accounts; cultivate customer relationships with key decision-makers, positioning GFI as preferred “go to” supplier for the customer’s needs.
  • Set and implement strategy
    You will develop, communicate and implement strategic account plans, sales forecasts, and budget for key accounts, with clear KPIs; defend base business in key markets and with key customers/Distributors

Your professional profile includes:

  • University degree, strong preference for Food Science
  • 8+ years successful sales or customer relationship experience in the food ingredients or flavor industry
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (verbal and written) is required; other Asian language is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting skills to develop account plans
  • Thorough knowledge of customers and competition landscape
  • Ability to promote the GFI Product ranges with the distributor. Drive and commercialise new product promotions for the distributor.
  • Understanding of customer strategy, initiatives, priorities, launch processes, and how to position GFI’s offerings
  • Possesses thorough understanding of profitability goals for accounts
  • Can effectively execute all account management steps in the brief handling process; understands how to manage scale-ups
  • Can effectively generate new business by identifying unmet customer needs including through distribution
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key customer decision-makers and distributor
  • Being able to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • You are located in China
