Continous Improvement Specialist, Singapore - Your future position?

Reporting to: Continous Improvement Program Manager

As a Continous Improvement Specialist, you will lead the execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives within a site in order to embed best practices, reinforce a continuous improvement mindset and streamline non-value added activities.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

Strategy design and execution

  • Contribute to the design of the local Continuous Improvement strategy and deployment plans for the assigned site based on global CI Road Map strategy.
  • Design and execute of related projects to meet local Operations objectives.


Continuous Improvement management

  • Identify and quantify improvements opportunities proactively together with site Operations teams, and use best tools/methods from the CI toolbox to develop solutions and execute these.
  • Leverage internal and external Lean network to capture and eventually deploy best practices within the organization.


Project Management

  • Execute approved CI projects, monitoring resource plans, project team accountabilities, change requests, deadlines, milestones, etc. and providing periodic updates to project stakeholders.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects assigned.
  • Proactively identify and quantify improvement opportunities; develop action plans accordingly.
  • Leads stable operations regular activity/evens and coordinates the projects agenda and updates.
  • Coach project teams on applying Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools during solution design and project execution phases.
  • Change management and Capability building.
  • Support project managers in developing change management roadmaps and related communication strategies.
  • Challenge existing processes/practices and coach project teams in applying effective problem solving to develop solutions and initiate change.
  • Train site Operations teams on Lean principles to close capability gaps and promote a culture of continuous improvement.


Performance Management

  • Support the implementation of Operational Improvement Plan (OIP) for the site and cascade its KPIs.

 

Your professional profile includes:

  • University degree in Engineering or related discipline 
  • LEAN certification.
  • Overall work experience of 1-2 years in continuous improvement.
  • Training experience with operators, shift leaders and departmental managers.
  • Good knowledge of product processing and industrialization processes.
  • Master Lean / Six Sigma tools & methodologies.
  • Good command in stakeholder management and communications.
  • Good command in process mapping and design.
  • Good knowledge of value chain diagnostics tools.
  • Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
  • General knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g. SAP).
  • Proficient in basic software tools with ability to learn/master new applications.
