Financial Accounting Manager

Financial Accounting Manager – Your Future Position?

As a Financial Accounting Manager, you are primarily responsible for managing the Givaudan Singapore book and working closely with 3rd party accounting service in supporting and reviewing small affiliates in Myanmar & Philippines.  You will work with several team members within and outside finance team, to ensure the finance services are delivered to the local business through close collaboration with GBS (Givaudan Business Solutions), Corporate Finance and external service providers. You will report to Finance Manager, and your responsibilities include:

 

Financial accounting

  • Manage month end closing for statutory and group reporting, ensuring close collaboration with Controlling, Treasury, HR, and GBS centers in Malaysia and Hungary.
  • Review and validate the accuracy of financial statements both pre and post submission
  • Review and analyze the monthly financial performance and to implement work process improvements where necessary
  • Plan statutory audits, ensuring all information provided to external auditors, participate and provide ex-planations
  • Support and coordinate with 3rd party service provider on small affiliates managed under Givaudan Singapore.

 

Taxes

  • Prepare annual tax computations, corporate tax reports and submissions
  • Review the GST reports and submission
  • Review the WHT reports and submission.
  • Provide periodic Tax reporting to the Group, including actual and forecasted Tax amounts and monthly ac-tivity report.
  • Be a contact for any tax investigation/audit
  • Main coordinator for tax initiative (MES renewal, ASK audit, APA renewal)
  • Review compliance with the Givaudan Group business structure and operating model as it is implemented (Opera Flow)

 

Compliance

  • Work with GBS and local business to review compliance to Group Internal Control (ICON) matrices and work with team members to implement control improvement projects
  • Support the Finance Manager and Company Manager with the annual Risk Assurance Review. Work with team members to put in place mitigations to improve management controls and reduce risk exposure

 

Business Support and Partnering

  • Be the contact for all Treasury matters, for both the local business and Regional and Group Treasury, and provide support
  • Always build own knowledge regarding relevant law regulations, international practices and recent rulings. Share knowledge and change requirements with the Finance group and business
  • Participate in group, regional and local finance or business projects

 

Engagement and Collaboration

  • Ensure all financial accounting requirements for the Givaudan Singapore business meet service level ex-pectations.
  • Resolve issues and focus on continuous improvement projects related to Record to Report, Demand to Cash and the Source to Pay process
  • Local service providers to ensure financial services meet expectations
  • Local team members to ensure finance services meet their expectations

 
Your professional profile includes:

  • A degree in Finance, major in Accountancy and Qualified Accountant.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a sizeable multi-nationals manufacturing company with experience managing a team. 
  • Experience in SAP.
