Regional Quality Head APAC– Your future position?
Location: Woodlands
Reporting to: Global Head of Quality
As a Regional Quality Head of APAC, you are responsible to drive quality strategy within regional operations function, continually improve robustness of quality and food safety systems to aligned with policies. You will lead the regional quality team and developing our talents through effective training and knowledge sharing programs.
Main responsibilities
People management
- Oversee the execution of annual people processes for the function, support site ops head for functional reportees.
- Work with the local Operations management team and HR department in developing a regional talent pipeline for the function.
- Drive the development and promotion of talents within and outside the function at regional and global level.
Strategy design and execution
- Participate in the design of the Global Quality strategy and definition of related objectives based on input provided by other functions regionally
- Get alignment with key stakeholders on strategic direction and Quality priorities of the region, including regional road mapping and cascading to the sites
Function management
- Drive/coordinate continual improvement of internal, customer and vendor quality and food safety performance through targeted initiatives and programs, in collaboration with CI where applicable
- Facilitate crisis preparedness and provide support in response to crisis events
- Facilitate Problem Solving and sharing best practices
- Deliver solutions and define/drive programs to meet customer quality requirements and develop customer intimacy and partnerships
- Monitor and support quality non-conformances resolution enabling in-depth root cause analysis, trend analysis and stringent action follow-up incl. validation of resolution effectiveness

Your professional profile includes:
- Comprehensive and hands on quality management experience in a complex/high pressure site. such as ingredient life cycle mgmt, vendor quality, customer quality requirements, specification management, continuous improvement, complaint, issue and crisis management, industrialization, audit and change management.
- Experience in leading a high performing team.
- International exposure with different culture and/or geographic locations.
- Problem solving skills and strategic thinking ability.
- Other leadership skills to work in complex & diverse working environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions
- Solid understanding of Scale up & management processes (such as product life cycle, specification management, non-conformity handling) and manufacturing technologies, product characteristics.
- Understanding/appreciation of the systems.
- Education background: University Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or other related field master degree is ideal.
- Understanding of food industry experience.
- Other functional experience in Ops is added advantage.
