Are you ready to take your career to the next level and join the team of Fragrance Industry Leaders in Regulatory Affairs? We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader, who will be the Regional Head of RAPS, reporting to the Global Head of RAPS.  RAPS  includes Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety Sciences, and Regulatory Ingredients Compliance Strategy.  You will be the RAPS Business Partner to the regional Business Leadership Team. In this pivotal position, you will Lead RAPS to ensure strong business partnership, regional compliance, exceptional customer service, and strong external relations and advocacy, driving the delivery of safe and compliant products to the market in the APAC region. You will also develop the strategic growth planning of the organization, as Givaudan continues to expand in the region. As the RAPS representative on regional management committees and a critical member of the RAPS Global Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our strategic vision. Core Responsibilities
Regulatory Affairs

  • Strong business partnership, and strategic leadership, with exceptional communication and organizational skill
  • Contribute to the development of global policies and implementation on a regional level
  • Provide insight and direction to local/regional regulatory /legislative issues, develop and implement appropriate advocacy policies.
  • Collaborate with global and regional counterparts to ensure regulatory compliance is consistent in all regions.
  • Directly interact with regional senior management to ensure regulatory function is supporting business and clients appropriately.
  • Ensure all products comply with safety and regulatory requirements and are consistent with commercial, creation and research requirements.
  • Provide regulatory consulting to internal and external customers.

 

Product Safety Sciences

  • To provide collaborative support to the Head of PSS for all regional and global projects
  • To integrate expert staff into external trade bodies and advocacy groups and utilize expertise for customer projects

 

External Relations

  • Coordinate Givaudan positions on issues with trade associations; organize and lead external affairs advocacy in safety and regulatory field
  • Bring advocacy activities internal to deliver implementation needs for future compliance requirements


People Management

  • Hire, manage, train and direct regulatory staff in region
  • Identify training needs and development opportunities for all regional regulatory staff
  • Identify and develop talent within organization to ensure depth of talent and succession plan

 

You?

  • University / Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field, preferred: Advanced Degree
  • Minimum 15 years regulatory or relevant experience
  • Track record of business partnership to help build growth 
  • Fluent English
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in key markets
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory issues, trends and pending legislation in the region
  • Is viewed as key regulatory expert in the region
  • Advanced knowledge of programmed systems and database management
  • Expert understanding of global regulatory issues
