Production Manager – Your future position?
Location: Singapore, Pioneer.

 

The Production Manager is responsible for the daily operation and plant evolution (continuous improvement, contingency plans, talent and people growth). Key deliverables are measured via safety, quality, service and cost indicators.This position will report to the site manufacturing manager and represent encapsulated plant at the site management team.

 

The Production Manager has a key role in the Delivery Systems supply network and he/she needs drive to meet customer needs, whilst always respecting safety, quality and economical parameters. Therefore, he/she has to be an excellent resource manager with a strong customer focus. The Production Manager is a quick problem solver, exemplary in behaviour to empower people and drives for results in a responsible way.

 

Main responsibilities:

•    Organize the production program to ensure an efficient manufacturing process for each product under his/her responsibility following safety, quality standards, costs and deadlines.
•    Manage and track project progress including monitoring timelines, raw materials, equipment availability and yields to ensure project success.
•    Monitor costs and ensure compliance with the budget.
•    Check and maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, and finished product; use advanced ERP functions.
•    Produce and conduct analysis of components, and finished products in accordance with the manufacturing plan. Analyse and interpret scientific data. Utilize specialized technical knowledge or skills necessary.
•    Perform physical, analytical or chemical testing of finished fragrances products, material-in-process, or raw materials. Perform calculations as required by testing procedures.
•    Actively contribute to development initiatives such as those required to improve process understanding, process control, process capability. 
•    Implement improvement plans to maintain cost competitiveness.
•    Evaluate product and process related issues concerning raw material, process chemistry as well as equipment troubleshooting and validation.
•    Recommend and elaborate improvements in analytical equipment, procedures and techniques. Implement production and large scale manufacturing procedures to optimize processes and meet quality requirements. 
•    Actively participate in development and planning activities for new or existing products or processes.
•    Prepare final reports and provide written and verbal updates to supervisors and/or clients.
•    Propose necessary capacity improvements and investments to fulfil demand evolution.
•    Quality System Compliance: Maintain and support all site activities according to accreditation standards in the scope of the QMS [ISO 9001, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & Halal

 

Requirements:

•    Manufacturing management preferably in Singapore.
•    Demonstrated effectiveness in getting results through a team.
•    10 years in operational positions (preferably a combination) (manufacturing, quality, development, maintenance, engineering and/or supply chain)
•    Train and direct team of process technicians.
•    Develop talents to enable sustainable organization.
•    Engage people and build effective, productive team work.

 

Your professional profile includes: 

•    Education: University degree in engineering (preference in mechanical, chemical, electrical). A lower degree can be compensated by specific, longer, experience.
•    Leadership with good relational skills, strong individual able to work independently.
•    Analytical capabilities and ability to learn on the fly.
•    Results oriented, can do attitude and creative/pragmatic in problem solving delivering solid solutions.

•    Fluent in English and one local language. 
•    Ownership, openness to change, good communication and people skills.
