Quality Control Analyst II

Quality Control Analyst II – Your future Position?

Reporting to a Quality Control Manager, you will be performing olfactive/sensory decisions on the evaluation/re-evaluation of raw materials & fragrance products and troubleshooting of odour discrepancies between samples and references.


Your roles:
• Perform maintenance, calibration/verification status of QC analytical instrument. Provide technical guidance on instrument troubleshooting & liaise with external vendors for external calibrations of QC analytical instruments to ensure instrument performance reliability
• Responsible for approval/rejection decisions on finished products and raw materials
• Facilitate/lead in investigations to provide feedback on analytical or sensory evaluations as well as follow up on quality related non-conformance e.g: customer complaints, quality notifications
• Write qualification/validation protocols; perform review & update of test methods, specifications & procedures/work instructions
• Tracking of Quality KPIs and Corrective & Preventive actions
• Ensure compliance to housekeeping schedule and maintain good housekeeping standards in the laboratory.
• Execute Site Best Practices, Internal Quality Audit program and Quality Road map activities
• Participate/lead in Continuous Improvement projects/initiatives, re-designing processes and defining best practices
• Conduct coaching/training to peers and colleagues from cross functional departments pertaining to QC aspects relating to equipment/testing methodologies

Your professional profile includes:
• Diploma or University degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Sciences
• At least 3-5 years laboratory experience in a fragrance, flavour, chemical, or any related industry
• Good technical understanding, excellent computer, organizational, skills, oral and written communication skills are required
• Experience and working knowledge of ISO, SAP
• Experience in maintenance, calibration & troubleshooting of analytical instruments e.g: GCs
• Good knowledge /understanding of ISO9001:2015 & Quality Principles and cGMP
• Experience with ISO internal audits is an advantage
