Marketing Specialist

This exciting role will report to the Sr. Marketing Manager in North America and provide support to the Ingredients Marketing Team in executing and monitoring marketing initiatives to stimulate new business opportunities and support overall business growth objectives. On this position you will create and manage marketing materials and sales collateral, prepare customer presentations, and perform market analysis to develop category trends insights and understanding. The role will work closely with the regional Product Managers, Category Managers and Applications teams to understand the value propositions of Givaudan’s ingredients and curate appropriate content for the commercial team to leverage. Additionally, you will assist and eventually lead in the coordination and management of Naturex part of Givaudan’s participation in key industry and customer events.


Core Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Trend Analysis

Align and collaborate with team of Analysts to pull market data, statistics and consumer trends at local level, to develop category insights and provide information as part of presentations to customers.

  • Presentations & Promotions

Development of presentations & paper concepts related to new trends, consumer understanding, food and beverages market tied to key ingredients to help our customers create innovative products

  • Marketing Tools

Development of relevant marketing tools (brochures, demo kits, formula sheets etc.) for commercial team to leverage during customer calls, industry events and other external touchpoints.
Commercial support & customer visits
Planning, preparation and coordination of content and product related activities for customer visits

  • Promotions and project management support

Support with the execution of marketing campaigns, including the preparation and coordination of demos and kits for customers 
Assist in the management of projects to ensure timely responses based on requested needs and liaise with appropriate internal stakeholders to provide correct support.

  • Special events

Coordinate the organization of special events, included but not limited to tradeshows and other industry events
Lead and coordinate innovation days for customers to help in the ideation and development of new projects

  • Communication

Internal: Share information of relevant presentations, new wins, tools and best practices among the region to support customer expansion initiatives.
External: Support the implementation of marketing communications efforts linked to active promotions 


Academic Background

  • Bachelor’s in communication, public relations, marketing or other business degrees.


Professional Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience preferably in the food & beverage industry or other B2B environment (Marketing or Commercial)
