About the Role

Reporting to the VP of Sales, in his position you will lead a team of sales professionals in achieving annual financial targets and ensuring deep and sustainable customer relationships. 

You will manage sales within Eastern Canada and Mid/East Coast in the US. 


You Will

  • Coach the sales team in development of territory and account plans, ensuring specific relevant plans in place to achieve growth targets with use of cross departmental resources. 
  • Establish sales team governance, communicate targets and monitor main performance metrics including financial results, opportunity pipeline, and execution of account plans. 
  • Provide regular performance updates to senior management. 
  • Lead direct team and other collaborators with an approach that develops and retains talent. 
  • Support team in building customer value; develop relationships with senior decision makers at key accounts. 
  • Work with Marketing Leaders in the development of strategic plans with target customers. 
  • Engage with sales team in developing negotiation strategies and execution of pricing plans.
  • Develop annual territory budget aligned our growth targets.
  • Ensure accurate, updated demand forecasts.

You Have

  • 8+ years of B2B experience selling specialty ingredients, withi Nutrition & health or Food and Beverage space. Related industries considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, including food science, chemistry, engineering, or equivalent technical experience. 
  • 2+ years experience leading a commercial team 
  • Ability to travel 30- 50% of time
