Key Account Manager UK

As a Sales Professional, this is a fantastic opportunity to be a strategic partner with our UK and Ireland customers within our active cosmetic ingredients business to deliver on our global ambitions of the business unit; design to perform, partner to win and power to seduce. Working within the UK Active Beauty team your rich local market and technical knowledge across the cosmetic industry will be integral to your success in this role.

In this role you will:

  • Develop growth - your knowledge in chemistry and/or biology, in cosmetic and beauty ingredients and commercial understanding is required to achieve and exceed growth with purpose, for our local customers.
  • Build winning relationships - Customers are at the heart of what we do and your empathetic and fascinating delivery will build and foster strong collaborations with key internal experts and our customers. With active representation at seminars and exhibitions.
  • Lead and engage – the account strategy and your internal partners through your passion for the sensorial products, understanding of operations, trends, the environment and dynamics of this fast moving market.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Demonstrated industry relevant experience with successful key account management – minimum of 3 years experience
  • Working with substantiated biotech active ingredients and botanicals is preferred
  • Solid core commercial skills demonstrating ability to effectively negotiate, persuade and lead functional  teams and manage multiple complex projects
  • Ability to establish a deep understanding of our customers and their strategy to translate into clear account and category plans 
  • Energy and drive and the ability to positively influence others
  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills translating technical aspects through emotive storytelling 
  • Ideally, a university degree in fields related to business, chemistry and cosmetics will be an advantage
  • Regular travel within the UK to clients and European travel within Active Beauty
  • Fluent in English, plus French is desirable
