Being a Warehouse Operative, you will play an important part of the growing team in Overseal, South Derbyshire. You will report to the Distribution Supervisor. You will operate material handling equipment while performing tasks to include shipping, receiving, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading and locating products.

This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract.

The hours are 6am-2pm and 1.45pm-9.45pm alternating weeks, Monday to Friday.

You will:

• Pick stock for production and customer orders using RF guns, driving Reach and Counterbalance trucks.
• Prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded observing customer orders.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks.
• Load, unload, move, stack and stage products and materials in dedicated areas using a fork lift, clamp truck or other power equipment.
• Help with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring stock rotation, and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
• Conduct operations in compliance with company guidelines and public regulations in a manner which promotes safety.

You have:

• High school education or General Education Diploma equivalency.
• 3 years work experience in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts and other powered material handling equipment.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Can follow operating equipment utilisation procedures.
• Can follow safety regulations while operating equipment.
• Can operate forklifts and other powered material handling equipments (licence).
• Can operate inventory management systems (e.g. SAP), including barcoding.
• Familiar with basic warehousing and shipping/receiving procedures.
