Production Planning Manager - Overseal (UK) - Your future position?

 

Overall mission:

 

The Production Planning Manager is in charge of a team of 1 Team Lead, 1 Senior Planner and 4 Planners. The team confirms customer and affiliate orders, answers queries on orders, plan the production, monitors stock levels (Finished Products, Semi-Finished Products and Raw Materials), reviews the slow moving stock and maintains Planning Master Data in SAP.

You will be located in Overseal (UK), manage the local Planning Team and report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

 

You will:

 

  • Lead the Planning Team and supervise staff to ensure that all tasks are performed, document performance and provide ongoing feedback (e.g., conducting mid-year and end-year reviews), address behavior and job performance issues, monitor workload and calendars to maintain the balance in the department

  • Ensure customer and affiliate orders are confirmed within 48 hours, any confirmation issue for orders are either solved promptly or raised with the relevant departments and the customer or affiliate is kept informed

  • Review with team stock targets to maintain good customer service and avoid slow moving stock (Finished Products, Semi-Finished Products and Raw Materials)

  • Support the team in case of shortages / escalations

  • Monitor measurements and ensure targets are achieved for the Production Planning (On Time Delivery, OTA, Stock Value, Obsolescence)

  • Lead the weekly planning meeting

  • Maintain Planning Master Data in SAP

  • Identify opportunities for improvement

  • Implement new processes/adjust current processes to adapt

 

You:

 

  • BA/Master Degree

  • 3 years’ experience in production planning/ managing customer orders within the food industry

  • Experience working on a production site, preferably in food industry

  • People management experience

  • Customer focus

  • Advance level required in Excel, macro skills

  • ERP/ MRP experience - SAP

  • Liaise with multiple departments daily

  • Reactivity to changing factors

  • APICS Certification
