Quality Control Technician

6 Month Contract Role

 

Do you have a taste for quality? We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic team player to join our Flavours Team. Your passion and drive requires you to provide quality control support to the production of all Givaudan products. Ensuring the highest quality in everything we do is the key stone of this pledge. As a Quality Control Technician you will be required to test and release products that are within specification. Have the ability to support the production, warehouse, technical, sales order management and planning personnel. You will also be required to set up sensory samples for tasting and partake in panel tasting. In this quality control role, you will take ownership for the good manufacturing practices on the production floor. Sound like your next ideal challenge? It could be your perfect opportunity!

 

In this exciting new role, with a delivery mindset you will:

 

Develop our Business: Essentially for the smooth running of our operations plant, you will have the ability to test raw materials, intermediate and finished goods to specification. Perform daily calibration of laboratory equipment. Raise quality non-conformance for out of specification finished goods and raw materials. Your opinion and input will be required to assist management in reinforcing Good Manufacturing Practices in flavour production.

 

Position our Products: The ability to monitor the quality of all incoming raw materials and finished goods to ensure that we are providing superior quality products to our customers. Conduct weekly and monthly environmental swabs to ensure that our workplace is a safe and healthy environment to work in.

 

Service our Customers: Ensuring that our products are tested and released in a timely manner.

Your professional profile includes:

  • A degree in Science or Food Sciences
  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar industry with a minimum of 1 year
  • Good technical understanding
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Word, Excel & Creative PowerPoint skills
  • HACCP and GMP knowledge
  • Quality Control knowledge from a food manufacturing industry

  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a busy team
  • Action Oriented, Priority Setting, Drive for Results and keeping customer needs in mind
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Functional/Technical skills
