Warehouse Administrator - Your future position?


The Warehouse Administrator is responsible to carry out various administrative and operational tasks related for the warehouse function in a safe, effective and efficient manner. The main tasks include onboarding staff members, explaining procedures and safety guidelines, maintaining and tracking inventory, ordering equipment for maintenance and repairs, and acting as a liaison between material handlers, freight forwarders, supervisors and/or managers.

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager


Main Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety rules, safe work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain work plans, inform staff about daily activities and provide guidance regarding work instructions
  • Oversee operations (receiving, putting away, picking and despatch) at the external 3PL warehouse.
  • Monitor status of all pending orders and initiate action as warranted.
  • Check all outbound shipments conform to our Quality standards.
  • Sample inbound raw materials as per Quality standards.
  • File and maintain all memorandums of shipments.
  • Raise non-conformance reports for Vendors, Internal Stakeholders and 3PL Warehouse relating to receipt errors/damaged stock.
  • Update internal stakeholders on job status at 3PL warehouse in daily meetings.
  • Provide material flow and inventory information to various teams such as Planning, Production, Quality Control, Customer Service, and other relevant sites.
  • Conduct basic safety inspections, report workplace hazards including identifying and recommending corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance of housekeeping/sanitation/food safety and safety level with Company’s standards and guidelines and other requirements (including, but not limited to GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA).
  • May assist in delivering training.
  • Perform other general administrative tasks as required.
  • Escalate any matters relating to missed deliveries. 
  • Stock relabelling as required.


Requirements

    Minimum 5 years’ experience in Warehousing, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience in handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Technology savvy
    • Experience with Google Suite
    • Experience using Microsoft Excel
    • Experience using SAP
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous experience working with / managing 3PL relationship will be highly regarded
  • Forklift Licence (High reach and Counterbalance) required
  • Physically fit to work in warehouse environment (must be able to lift 25kg on a regular basis)
    • Please note: Successful candidate will need undergo a medical fitness for duty assessment prior to commencing
  • Candidate is required to be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia to be considered for this position

  • Solid knowledge of Warehouse process flow
  • Strong understanding of shipping and receiving regulations and protocol
  • Good knowledge of transportation supplier landscape
  • Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety/security norms and regulations
  • Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes
  • Basic knowledge of production process flow and scheduling
