主要職務内容: 食品(飲料・菓子類)の香料開発、提案

フレーバリストとして、新規原料の探索、応用、および、顧客からの依頼、技術シーズからの新規香料の開発、提案を行うポジションになります。個人の成果だけではなく、チームメンバーと協働してビジネス成長に貢献していただきます。

 

 

  • 顧客からの依頼またはマーケット情報をもとに、飲料、菓子類の分野において最新のテクノロジーを使ってイノベーティブな香料を創造する
  • 香料創造のプロセスにおいて一連の工程をプロジェクトマネジメントする
  • 顧客へテクニカルサービスの提供、および、技術提案を行う
  • Research部門からの新原料の検証、活用を行う
  • 知識を共有し、チーム全体の成果向上に貢献する
  • 安全衛生を遵守した職場環境の改善を行い実践する

 

 

応募資格:

○ 以下の業務経験者

  • 10年以上のフレーバリストとしての経験(特にミルク、紅茶系のフレーバー)
  • 食品素材、香料原料、香料フォーミュラに関する深い知識と業務経験
  • 最新のツールを活用したフレーバー製作
  • 関連部署、顧客など様々なステークホルダーとのコミュニケーション、ネゴシエーション
  • 英語でのビジネス経験(メールは業務の半分、Web会議、プレゼン、発言必須)

  • 食品関連の学士、または、修士取得

 

○ 技術・資格等

  • PCスキル:MSオフィス(エクセル、ワード、パワーポイント)およびe-mailシステム、 ERP(SAP等)
  • 英語:ビジネスレベル

Core Responsibilities: Flavour creation, Division Taste & Wellbeing

 

As a Flavourist, you will directly report to Technical Manager. You are required to develop and propose new flavors for customers' requests and based on technical seeds, and to search for new ingredients and its application to flavors. You will contribute to our growth business by collaborating with the team and individually.

 

You will:

  • Create and select flavours: Create flavours of the future. Based on both customer requests and market insights, you will create new flavours making use of the newest flavour technologies, the latest ingredient innovations, market and consumer insights and an unique pallet of raw materials. You will also come up with ideas and innovations to ensure our customers can continue to make a difference for their consumers around the globe.
  • Project Management and Innovation: you will work on complex projects and use new beverage technologies, support regional Marketing initiatives, and train our commercial force and customers on new Givaudan capabilities.
  • Provide technical service to our customers: you will be responsible for technical customer communication to achieve positive project outcomes; develop concept presentations and present flavours and flavoured beverage, dairy, or sweet goods products to customers; work with our customers to improve their recipes; support our customers in trial productions.
  • New technology application: you will communicate with global research team to request needs from Japan and/or to evaluate new technologies for the use of flavour creation in Japan.
  • Team contribution: you will contribute to the business not only as an individual contributor but also as a team by sharing knowledge and outcomes.
  • Manage Organizational Effectiveness: you will maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines. Manage projects with the complete leadership of large development projects.

 

Your professional profile includes:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of experience as a flavourist
  • Good knowledge of dairy/milk and tea products
  • Solid knowledge of raw materials and flavour ingredients, flavour formulation, solvent and carrier systems, delivery systems, analytical methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to try innovative tools in flavour creation, building a strong trials plan and com-municate the outcome to the Flavour Creation & Application community
  • Ability to build missing capabilities within flavour portfolio
  • Ability to identify and communicate missing tools to the Science &Technology team
  • Expert tasting skills and the ability to create and adjust flavour formulations that meet the flavour profile requirements of customers and consumers
  • Ability to build relationships with customers, working with our customers in partnership to together work on the best solution
  • Drive for results and taking ownership
  • Ability to direct and motivate project teams
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed olfactory and sensory skills
  • Business fluent in Japanese. Good English skills would be an asset
  • Strong Project management skills with proven experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills
  • A team-focused working style
  • Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office, Outlook/Google mail, etc.)
