Automation Engineer (h/f/d) - Your next role ?

 

As an Automation Engineer (h/f/d), you will directly report to our Automation Team Lead and you will join our team in Vernier. You will respond to requests for studies and projects for the Vernier site. You will participate in maintenance activities to improve production processes and act as an expert in the automation domain.

In this exciting role you will :

  • Collaborate in establishing specifications, functional specifications and technical documentation. Then implement or ensure implementation of automated systems of production installations following the specifications ;
  • Participate within project team for new installations ;
  • Estimate the costs and duration to carry out the study and work ;
  • Ensure works with other relevant services ;
  • Be a force for proposals concerning automation and regarding external service providers ;
  • Supervise the work of external companies relating to automation ;
  • Provide support on long-term maintenance issues ;
  • Carry out, maintain the programming of control systems, in collaboration with other services ;
  • Establish and participate in continuous improvement projects ;
  • Standardize processes, operating and construction principles, and facilitate standards relating to these subjects ;
  • Technology monitoring, participating in working groups ;
  • Apply quality procedures and instructions related to their function ;
  • Apply the standards and procedures in force within the department ;
  • Participate in the training offered ;
  • Solve problems using a combination of standard or modified procedures ;
  • Increase agility of our processes to improve our customer services.

Your success profile includes :

  • University degree in Engineering. Knowledge of Chemical Engineering is an advantage ;
  • 4-6 years of experience in an Automation project environment ;
  • Change Management experience and worked in a GMP environment ;
  • Knowledge in PLC and DCS systems (DeltaV, Siemens Step 7 Pro, TIA Portal, WinCC and Citect SCADA) ;
  • Solid MS Office skills (Excel, Access, PPT, Project) ;
  • Proficiency in data analysis ;
  • Knowledge in electricity and process instruments. Knowledge of chemical engineering would be an asset ;
  • Fluent in French and English ;
  • You are organized, rigorous, and meticulous ;
  • You are recognized for your ability to propose ideas, your dynamism, your team spirit, and your cooperation ;
  • You have an excellent sense of communication and listening, and you are naturally customer-oriented ;
  • You demonstrate a proactive attitude towards changes and continuous improvement initiatives on the site.
