Compounding Production Process Engineer

Your next role ?

As a Compounding Production Process Engineer you will support the fragrance manufacturing operations and focus on delivering our goals within corporate guidelines and local policies, in collaboration with the Compounding Production Manager.

In this exciting role you will :

Production Management Support :

  • Control manufacturing of Compounding products, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets and production schedules of the assigned production line(s), ensuring compliance of standards together with and under the general direction of Compounding Production Manager ;
  • Design high-level concept for Engineering to do detail specifications ;
  • Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform calculation to determine manufac-turing processes and workforce requirements ;
  • Solve issues using a combination of standard or modified procedures ;
  • Solve systems issues using a combination of systems and multiple data analysis / Daily systems troubleshooting ;
  • Set up systems following production needs ;
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot problems, or arrange for equipment to be repaired or serviced by appropriate technicians ;
  • Make independent decisions in shaping and completing technical assignments. Not supervised in detail except on more difficult assignments ;
  • Operate all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment and undertake standard and complex production tasks safely and following instructions ;

  • GMP lead for the manufacturing environment ;
  • Ensure EHS is at the center of our focus, developing sustainable and safe solutions ;
  • Increase agility of our processes to improve our customer services.

People Management :

  • Lead small manufacturing process technician team, 3-5 people, to deliver Best In Class support to the production.

EHS responsabilities :

  • Ensure that the following risk assessments are completed, and safety gaps are addressed and closed before startup: process, equipment and machinery hazards, fire and explosion hazards, jobs/tasks hazards ;
  • Ensure that any project, such as CAPEX projects, addresses safety aspects right from the start ;
  • Report instantly to their immediate supervisor and to the local EHS manager any undesired situation which they have reason to believe could present a hazard and which they cannot correct themselves ;
  • Report any incident, accident, injury to health or near-miss which arises in the course of, or in connection with work ;
  • Ensure that employees under their guidance, irrespective of the nature of their contractual situation, have received appropriate training and have the required competencies before they are active on assignments ;
  • Ensure that employees under their guidance receive refresher training ;
  • Ensure that third-party employees intervening on-site under their your responsibilities have received appropriate training and competencies before they are active on assignments.

Your Profile :

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent ;
  • 6 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment ;
  • 2 or more years of experience in people management ;
  • Change Management experience ;
  • Worked in a GMP environment ;
  • Lean Manufacturing and/ or Six Sigma is an asset ;
  • Proficiency in SAP and other necessary department systems ;
  • Proficiency in data analysis ;
  • Fluency (oral, written) in French and English.
