EHS & Security Specialist - Industrialization, Engineering and Maintenance
As an EHS & Security Specialist you will provide full EHS support to designated Departments, being single contact for all EHS matters by partnering with functional managers to develop and implement local EHS strategies that are appropriate for their business, and ensuring all EHS activities, processes and programmes are implemented following our EHS strategy. You will manage EHS site projects and act as the owner of some EHS site processes.
You will be based in Vernier, Switzerland (hybrid role, #LI-Hybrid), and will report directly to the EHS Director.
In this exciting role, your main responsibilities will include:
Business partnering

Be a main contact with specific Departments and act as back-up for others Departments

Be customer with the desire of finding solutions with main partners (Departments managers, supervisors, team leaders) when EHS issues are detected. Seek experts help is necessary
Site projects & processes:
-
Manage EHS site projects in scope
-
Be responsible of several EHS processes for the whole site: manage, train, audit and improve them
Risk assessment:

Lead risk assessment (workstations & ergonomics) and manage associated documentation and define/follow the action plan with partners

Assume the role of EHS Coordinator in the Crisis Management organisation
Investigation:

Lead and coach incident, injury and complaint investigations (5Why/Cause tree) with appropriate partners, elaborate action plan and share incidents with others sites

Promote the reporting of EHS incidents during daily operational meetings
Audits/inspections:

Organize and participate in regular external/internal EHS inspections/audits with department owners; report findings and follow-up their correction
Communication/training:

Develop and conduct EHS trainings when required (done with other EHS Specialists): new comers, chemical risk, EHS discussions, Permit To Work and Lock Out Tag Out, etc
EHS team:

Ensure a strong collaboration with EHS colleagues, especially those in charge of others Departments in order to promote partnership, pool solutions, ally forces and move forward as one TEAM

Manage all EHS documentation required (create, improve and track their implementation)
Academic Background:
-
University degree in chemistry, Engineering, EHS or other related field
-
Swiss Diploma “Ingénieur sécurité MSST”
-
Chargé de sécurité incendie is a plus
-
At least 3 years of working experience in chemical/manufacturing industry
-
5 to 7 years of experience in the EHS specialisation
-
ATEX knowledge is essential

Experience with EHS by design
-
Experience with HAZOP/Process safety is a plus

Fluency in French
