Head of Compliance - Your future role?
As the Head of Compliance in Vernier, you will be reporting to the CLCO, the Head of Compliance will play a pivotal role in shaping the compliance framework that supports Givaudan's ambition for sustainable, long-term growth. The new leader will ensure the compliance function is a forward-looking enabler of innovation, growth and enterprise value creation. In particular, this function will:

Sponsor compliance and ethical principles across the group, i.e. adherence to applicable legislation and Givaudan policies.

Implement a new Compliance Program and Compliance Structure aiming at covering compliance of all functions of the Group worldwide providing the Executive Committee & Board with assurance that the framework is and improving.
Your main responsibilities:

Set and oversee the direction of Givaudan's compliance strategy, ensuring agreement on we are evolving business model, growth agenda and global operations

Lead the implementation of the compliance organisation, including clarifying roles, reporting lines and decision rights across the function ensuring a governance and culture

Improve Givaudan's integrity and compliance culture by defining the role of Compliance, revising internal policies and promoting integrity and compliance as a company-wide value

Partner with senior leadership and the board to ensure governance of compliance risks, including escalation protocols and transparent reporting

Build a legal team with the right capabilities, leadership and tools to operate across departments and regions

Manage compliance aspects of the activities of the group and ensure coordination of compliance approach across the regions and divisions
-
Support the group functions in achieving their strategies with and sound compliance approaches
-
Ensure compliance resources and competences are available to support the activities of the group across the fields of activities and across the regions

Design compliance policies and strategies to govern the compliance aspects of the group activities
Head of Compliance activities include (directly or indirectly), without limitation:
-
Provide advice on best way to achieve the group's goals and strategies generally and in individual situations
-
Design processes or standards and coordinate their implementation globally
-
Coach our teams on their relationship with third parties and other counterparts to address compliance matters

Manage compliance projects and scout for applicable new technologies
-
Hire, instruct and manage outside consultants or other service providers
-
put in place the necessary policies and training to ensure compliance with applicable laws in the compliance/whistleblowing field, antitrust, anti-bribery and data protection;

Be the sounding board and advisor to EC members for compliance topics that are within the EC members scope of responsibility

manage compliance projects, stay informed about legal developments in the compliance field (such as whistleblowing, antitrust, data protection, anti-bribery) and scout for applicable new technologies

manage (directly or indirectly) whistle blowing lines and internal investigations relating to compliance issues
-
work with the Executive Committee to guide the right mindset around compliance throughout Givaudan
-
Manage a modern, risk-based compliance framework for all the group and for all the departments worldwide, and related monitoring and preventive controls

manage regular reporting of compliance issues and plans to the Executive Committee and the Audit Committee

create an integrated governance platforms which would help Aligned Assurance
People Management

Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop professional staff to ensure that compliance activities across the group are conducted, ethically and according to corporate guidelines.
You have:
-
10+ years of experience in an international firm and as a high ranking member in the compliance department of a multinational company. Experience as an in-house.

Experience in complex international listed setting

Bar exam
-
Fluent English, French is an asset
