As an Ingredients Manufacturing Project Manager (m/w/d), you will directly report to the Head of Fragrances Ingredients Production and you will join our team in Vernier.

You will improve manufacturing processes and procedures for fragrance ingredients, and ensure implementation of technical projects in collaboration with the production units, to increase competition of our ingredients portfolio.

You will be in charge of the management and practical execution of improvements projects, innovation scouting and roll out, external collaborations management and hand over to production or external partners.

In this exciting role you will :

  • Manage/coordinate improvement studies at laboratory scale;
  • Transfer novel processes from pilot plant to industrial units;
  • Improve and/or optimize current manufacturing processes;
  • Support production chemist in production transfer intra or inter site;
  • Support EHS risk assessments;
  • Document and record knowledge through redaction of S&OPs and technical reports;
  • Apply whenever possible the principles of green and energy efficient chemistry;
  • Bring chemical engineering science to optimize and design best in class processes;
  • Scout and develop new ways of working through innovation scouting, fast prototyping and implementation;
  • Support Engineering by consolidating the requests of production in technical project, ensure the project outcome complies to definition;
  • Use production data collection (processes, manufacturing procedures, records, production costs) as source of continuous improvement projects;
  • Develop process flow diagrams and PID diagrams;
  • Apply continuous improvement skills and tools;
  • Help manage change;
  • Support and optimize the tools for scheduling and planning.

Your success profile :

  • Ph.D in Chemistry or Master in Chemistry or Chemical engineering;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. First experience as a people manager is an asset;
  • Fluent in French and English;
  • Good knowledge in experimental chemistry and process engineering;
  • Good knowledge in continuous improvement (DMAIC, SixSigma);
  • Management skills;
  • Knowledge of chemical product specifications and safety regulations;
  • Knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines;
  • Basic knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g. SAP);
  • Willing to grow and evolve to a Production Manager Position or any other opportunity in the manufacturing environment.
