Process Engineer Compounding & Logistics

Your future position?

As an Process Engineer Compounding and Logistics, will directyl report to the Compounding Production Manager. You will develop, build and coordinate Vernier's Compounding and Logistics annual/long-term strategic plans. Your main responsibilities will be strategic plan setting, project and program management, communication and support, EHS.

In this exciting role you will :

  • Lead the strategic activities by establishing and reviewing main priorities and translating them into tangible plans compliant with global guidelines ;
  • Embed strategic planning within overall site CAPEX activities ;
  • Draft and develop the implementation planning framework while operations running ;
  • Coordinate engineering activities to ensure all plans requirements are met ;
  • Responsible of the monthly/quarterly/annual progress reports and reviews ;
  • Communicate with employees on relevant technical, operational and organisational aims ;
  • Technical advisory role in bearing and mentoring support teams, sharing experience, to foster their development as technical leaders
  • Ensure EHS is at the center of our focus, developing sustainable and safe solutions ;
  • Ensure that the following risk assessments are completed, and safety gaps are addressed and closed before startup: process, equipment and machinery hazards, chemical processes hazards, fire and explosion hazards, jobs/tasks hazards ;
  • Ensure that any project, such as CAPEX projects, addresses safety aspects right from the start ;
  • Report instantly to their immediate supervisor and to the local EHS manager any undesired situation which they have reason to believe could present a hazard and which they cannot correct themselves ;
  • Report any incident, accident, injury to health or near-miss which arises in the course of, or in connection with work ;
  • Ensure that employees under their guidance, irrespective of the nature of their contractual situation, have re-ceived appropriate training and have the required competencies before they are active on assignments ;
  • Ensure that employees under their guidance receive refresher training ;
  • Ensure that third-party employees intervening on-site under your responsibilities have received appropriate training and competencies before they are active on assignments.

Your Profile :

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline ;
  • At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing industry ;
  • 2 or more years of experience in people management ;
  • Experience in engineering project management (CAPEX > 500kCHF) ;
  • Change Management experience ;
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is an asset ;
  • Proficiency in SAP and other necessary department systems ;
  • Proficiency in data analysis ;
  • Fluency (oral, written) in French and English.
