Senior Global Category Manager (Procurement) - Your future role?
As a Raw Material Senior Global Category Manager in Vernier (CH) or Saint Celoni (ES), you will develop and implement strategies (and related tactical plans) to source the large spend and/or complex/business critical Aroma Chemicals and secure supply for those RM in line with business plan. Operates with high autonomy, clear sourcing strategy, priority setting and resource optimization.
You will report to the Raw Material Segment Procurement Business Partner.
Your main responsibilities:
Sourcing Strategy

Manage the main category according to the 2030 procurement strategy

Improve the implementation of RM in to the category
-
Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio

Lead sourcing strategy development within team for key categories
-
Bring sourcing strategy implementation by leading major RFQs and important negotiations
Portfolio Management

Negotiate contracts globally
-
Select, manage and audit suppliers
-
Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and involve creation and manufacturing in development of optimization plans

Implement Scope 3 PCF reduction towards Givaudan 2030 procurement strategy.

Oversee main supplier relationship, and lead GBS escalated supplier conflict resolutions

Communicate with suppliers any forthcoming changes in demand/specifications

Ensure contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts

Ensure vendor performance at target levels
Stakeholder Relationship

Communicate with main internal stakeholders/Segment BP any market conditions change which may affect the Business

Support the responsible sourcing / Sourcing4 good projects implementation / Scope 3 PCF reduction journey and provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager – in full agreement on our global sustainability strategy
Cost Optimization

Provide information for business planning process

Develop cost reduction projects

Provide price forecast and market trends for important commodities
People Management

In a second phase, build and develop category buyers
You have:
-
University degree preferred or equivalent experience
-
Degree on Chemical Engineering or Organic Chemistry preferred
-
7-10 years of experience in Procurement
-
Knowledge of F&F industry/FMCG Manufacturing/Chemical industry
-
Specific technical and market knowledge in the respective category
-
International exposure in previous role
-
Fluent in English
